The next morning I picked up my bag told my boss that I'm leaving and she gave me half of my salary that month saying I didn't complete my work  for the month yet I smiled telling her it's ok thanks for your hospitality and accommodating me to work for you I said my goodbyes and off to the big city I went getting to the big city the city was very big and beautiful wow can  anywhere get more busier than this I took a bus heading to the direction she directed me on  getting to her house standing in front of me was a beautiful mansion how could someone be living here like the person will be filthy rich I got in and knocked and was welcome by a girl she was like the little version of the lady she said come in don't be afraid, my mum said she has been expecting you she said  she took me to the living room where I sit down and wait for the lady few minutes later she came in saying wow how was your trip I said it was a little bit stressful I almost lost my way but thank god for a good man who helped me out with the direction she laughed and said welcome to the big city she said well this is Grace she will be showing you your room and where to take your bath and show you where you'll be staying then I saw a girl came in she was a little bigger than the first girl I saw but has no resemblance with the lady in any way this is my maid said the lady she will take you to your room upstairs I thanked her and went upstairs with the girl ,Grace was an average 5.4 and chubby she is friendly and accommodating so she took me to my room which I later learnt that I will be sharing it with the ladie's last girl child so she said I should feel comfortable – take my shower and meet them downstairs where dinner is served she said to me with a smile on her face I said thank you girl you're so kind she smiled and said no problem it's my job she said okay please give me 10 minutes I'll be with you in the dining room she laughed and said no please here don't say that you are free to come anytime you like she left without saying a word and I quickly rushed into the shower I'm so very tired I said to myself a shower will do the work right now I got into a clean clothes and went downstairs sat in the dining room with every other person the lady came in seat down and said good evening everyone this is Mercy she would be staying with us for a while and she'll be working for me in my restaurant so mercy meet my first daughter Anastasia meet my son Solomon meet my second daughter christabel and meet my last child Anna we said our hi's  to each other so we went on with our meal and when we finished everyone said they are good night I went to bed so that night I couldn't sleep I was wondering what my life will be now. So I open my eyes and so the ray of the sun coming through the curtain wow is daybreak already I didn't remember falling asleep I came down from the bed went downstairs and saw the maid preparing breakfast I quickly joined the in good morning I said good morning dear she said hope you slept well I did I said ok this is how it is done she took me to the things we do during the morning afternoon and evening cleaning cooking and errands so I said no big deal all these are minor work I do there a daily basis so this one be anything for me she's my ride yeah I guess so have seen it in you she said I smiled well except that I'm not so sure I will be leaving for school this morning and we have to prepare breakfast for her she's in the college you know she said to me said wow so yeah she comes to visit sometimes twice or thrice in a month cuz the college is close to her facility so she took the advantage of seeing her mother monthly I asked what about the father him he died during an operation he got a some infection which demanded an operation which I didn't get the details off so during the operation he died wow that was so sad I said how they coping she said the man died not quite long ago about a year now and leaving all be worth for the lady and the children so they got nothing to bother with said that was so sad how the children coming about this she said they're doing just fine I guess so how is life here she said a bit complicated but you know soon enough I took in a deep breath this going to be a long ride I said to myself a week later my now boss came into my room and sat down and said tomorrow I'll be taking you to the hotel where he will be managing the restaurant in and I hope you do a great job taking care of it I smiled and said you not to worry ma I will do my best I will try not to disappoint you in anyway cuz you've been very good to me since have been here and  I said thank God for bringing you into my life ma I said and then she continued the last girl I bought the restaurant didn't handle it very well she got distracted by men and she run away with one of them and with my money I hope you wouldn't be like her oh no I want not in this life you have been good to me more and I will try my best not to disappoint you or the trust you have for me she smiled and said now let's talk about your payment I will be paying you 10000 naira monthly but I won't give you the money till you decide you're no longer working with me then I will gather the whole money for the whole month you have been working for me and give it to you all my girl that works for me that's how I did for them so they won't send the money on on unnecessary things I took in a deep breath in my mind saying there's going to be a very bad idea but I got no choice I have to agree with it I said ok ma anything you say she smiled and said don't worry I never owe any of my girls salary before so you won't be the first and she said tomorrow get prepared get all your stuff with you cuz you'll be staying at the hotel so are you ok with the idea I said no problem she said goodnight have enough rest tomorrow will be a big day she left my room now this got me thinking all the girls she said how many have worked for her and why did they leave she said she never hold them any money anyway I will try my best to be a good manager hand help her in any way I can I close my eyes tears run down through my eyes if it was the other way around I won't be here I will be in my father's house getting ready for college God knows why all these things happened I said my prayers the next morning 7 a.m. we're already on our way to the hotel getting there wow oh very nice big and beautiful hotel so I will be working here as a manager of the restaurant here I was so nervous how will I start this is going to be a long Ride of life....
