I should have been in the best mood as I woke slowly from the most delicious dream to date but of course, it wasn’t that easy. I didn’t want to be awake, I wanted to be pressed against a wall coming apart at the seams while I cried my pleasure to a shadow darkened house. And yet, here I was, lying in my own bed, wrapped in my blankets, no orgasm in sight. Ugh. I rolled over and checked my phone, but there were only the usual notifications from social media. Still no text from John. I guess he was busy and that was alright, we’re both adults and after another hot bath with the mix of herbs, I was certain my bruised ass would be no more than a memory. It was still early so I climbed out of bed and drew myself a bath, trying to hold on to the last wisps of the dream I had been thoroughly enjoying as it escaped into the recesses of my subconscious.
I didn’t linger too long in the hot water, not wanting to wait until it was too chilly to get out, wrapped myself in a robe and went about letting my hair down and putting on something comfortable to work in. I found Lish in the kitchen when I went downstairs, making coffee and stuffing her face with a doughnut from the box on the counter. Gavin must have gone out before going to work and I was thanking my lucky stars that he enjoyed spoiling Lish so much because these were from our favourite place. “s**t, you’re up early!” She said through a mouthful of doughnut. I laughed and grabbed one for myself before pouring a cup of coffee to enjoy with it. “Mmm.” All I could do was grumble a little because it was still early, and while I had taken a bath, I was not yet ready to part with the bits of the dream that I could still remember. Would John do things like that with me? Did I want him to? I was so confused about the whole situation and I should be talking to Lish about it but I couldn’t bring myself to say anything. I was new to all of this and didn’t want her to think I was in over my head or something. She could be something of a bully when she thought someone was mistreating me, and I didn’t blame her, she had been my biggest protector our whole lives. She was tough and loud where I was meek and quiet, the perfect yin and yang. I should tell her. But not today, not right now.
We stood in silence for a few more minutes, just enjoying the morning as the light outside grew brighter and then each of us topped off our coffee and grabbed another doughnut before heading upstairs. There were a pile of orders in the business’s email waiting to be packed up and sent so I got to work while Lish started sanding items we would need to complete some of the other orders. Trying to get out of the funk I was in, I turned some music on so it wasn’t just the two of us and silence getting through the work we had set before us. In the end, we didn’t stop working until Gavin came home and knocked on the door frame, startling us both. “Wow, is it that late already?” Lish seemed even more surprised, and both of us realized that all we had eaten during the day were the doughnuts that morning. Oops. Gavin shook his head and took the basket of orders down to set it near the front door so I could put it out in the morning and then returned to discuss dinner. “I could cook, but that might take a bit and none of us went shopping over the weekend so I suggest pizza.” Lish and I looked at each other and grinned, letting out a “Yes, pizza!” at the same time. Sometimes I swore we were still teenagers, we surely acted like it. At least Gavin found it amusing. He ordered pizza while we wrapped up the work and went downstairs to ice some cider and get the TV set up to binge-watch something, it was Lish’s turn to choose so it would likely be some crime drama or another, not that I cared, it passed the time.
The pizza arrived about half an hour later, thank goodness for Monday’s right, so we dug in and settled down in the living room to relax for the rest of the evening. It was a good night if a lazy one but I figured we had earned it with the amount of work we had gotten done. When I finally made it up to bed I checked my phone, nothing. Whatever. I looked at the bracelet on my wrist and wished I could take it off, but only he had the key. That was one way to keep a submissive I guess. I sighed and changed into an oversized t-shirt and climbed into bed, hoping desperately for another dream like the one I had last night.
I woke up Tuesday even grumpier than usual. No dream, and still no text from John. I finally decided I had had enough so I shot him a text before I even rolled out of bed. *Is this how you treat all your girls?* I had a feeling I was asking to be punished, but it made me angry that he couldn’t even be bothered to tell me he was busy. Without waiting around for an answer, I set my phone down and got up, throwing on some leggings, but leaving my oversized shirt on; I didn’t much care to make an effort today. I could hear Lish in the shower when I left my room so I went to make coffee and some toast. It was going to be one of those days, I just felt it. By the time Lish joined me in the kitchen I was on my second cup of coffee, staring at my phone. John had finally replied. *I’m busy, I’ll text you directions tomorrow.* What the hell was that supposed to mean? “Oof, who pissed you off this early?” Lish knew me too well, sometimes it annoyed me because she knew from just the look on my face that something was up, not that I was trying to hide it this morning.
“I haven’t heard from John since our date, so I texted him this morning and I got this back,” I said as I turned my phone to show her the text. She read it and wrinkled her nose a bit but shrugged. “He does run his own business, he’s probably just extra busy like we are. Cut the man a little slack, I’m sure everything is fine.” I sighed and let her comfort me with her words, plucking up my cold toast and taking a bite before I realized it was cold. Ew. I tossed it and we both headed upstairs to get to work since who knew what we were logging in to. After yesterday, I was thinking we might have a lot of work, and oh how right I was. I had double the number of orders to pack, and that left Lish to bust out the pouring of resin and popping things from yesterday our of the moulds. Once I was done, I helped her sand so more items could be poured, then packed tomorrows mail into a basket and set it by the front door. Lish and I decided to double team dinner since Gavin was still at work and set out to pound out chicken breasts, roll them with spinach and feta, and set them in a pan to go in the oven. We grilled asparagus and made rice pilaf to go with it, timing everything just right so that it was all done when Gavin got home. Score one for the ladies! Dinner was enjoyed at the table with a bottle of wine and good conversation before Gavin did the dishes and I escaped to my room to read for a bit before bed. Tomorrow was the discussion meeting, and I was curious about what orders John had for me since it was such a low protocol type of place. Tomorrow was soon enough to worry about that, so I buried myself in a book until I fell asleep.
I woke up to a text from John, which felt odd and somewhat thrilling if I was being honest with myself. I went through all of the other notifications first and then opened the text, holding my breath. *Good Morning sweetness, I hope you’re ready for tonight. Text me when you get up and I’ll give you your first task.* First? s**t. I had work to do today and definitely could not spend my whole afternoon catering to his tasks but I knew I would find a way to make it work. I wanted to be a good submissive to him, after all. *Good Morning, ready for my first task!* I hoped that sounded cheerful enough, that he would be pleased with me when he read it. I didn’t have long to wait before he replied. *Good. Go take a shower, spend extra time shaving and scrubbing today, you need to look good for me tonight.* I blinked a little, unsure if I should be upset, feeling a little hurt that it seemed he didn’t think I looked good for him any other night. *And you will answer by calling me Sir, do you understand? Every time you forget, you’ll get two spanks when we’re alone.* Oh s**t, well at least it looked like I got a freebie for the moment since I didn’t know. *Yes Sir, I understand* Crises averted, for the time being, I set my phone down and went to get in the shower. I knew a big part of being a submissive was completing tasks and such even when your dominant wasn’t around, so I took my shower very seriously and used some the jar of lavender sugar scrub on my arms and legs, shoulders, stomach, and chest. I ran the hot water out in my attempt to scrub, shave and moisturize properly for John, and finally got out of the shower when it was too cold.
The day passed quickly, pausing my work to eat or drink a glass of water as John tasked me via text. It broke up the monotony of the day at least and I was sort of enjoying being bossed around like that. We were done in time to order dinner before Gavin came home, so Lish called him to see what he wanted and then I ordered online. The food arrived only a few minutes before he did, perfect timing, and by the time we were done eating, I had another task from John. *Keep your hair down, no makeup. Wear a dress, nothing more than knee length, bare legs, and a pair of flats* Well that was specific. It was also winter, so I wasn’t excited about the bare legs and flats part, so I wiggled into a pair of fleece tights and my boots, opting to carry my flats to the car. It was a quick drive and my phone chimed again just before we pulled into the parking lot. *When the meeting gets started, sit to the left of my chair on the floor* I had to sit on the floor, in a dress? What the hell! *Yes Sir* It was going to be an interesting night.
I was glad to socialize before the meeting started, though I lingered near John out of comfort and the fact that I was his now, and felt like I should be close by. He paid me little attention behind putting his hand on my lower back, pulling me from conversation to conversation without a care if I was done talking to friends or not. Rude. I sighed as he gathered everyone so the discussion could start, and took my place at the left of his chair, tucking my legs to the side and spreading my dress out to make sure everything was covered. Thankfully no one seemed to find it weird, and I soon settled in comfortably, listening intently as various people spoke about levels of protocol in their dynamics, or what they’re looking for in the future. So that’s why he had me sit on the floor tonight. Wait, had he just subtly announced to the whole group that we’re together? Well, that was one way of telling our friends what was going on, I guess. The discussion wound down and everyone started to depart while I remained close to John, his hand on my back again. “I’ll send her down in a moment, yeah?” He pointed the question to Lish as if whether I wanted to stay and chat didn’t matter. As the other dominant in the room, it sort of made sense, though it bothered me a little anyway. “Sure, we’ll be in the car, Rory! See ya John, great talk tonight!” Lish grinned and walked out with Gavin quick on her heels, leaving the two of us alone.
“So, you did well today following my tasks, I’m pleased. I’d like to take you out again this Friday, I know we’ll see each other at the munch, but I want to spend a little extra time with you. Plus, we need to talk about things you’d like to experience at the play party. I have two other people I have small scenes with during the night, but I’ll have plenty of time for you as well.” I smiled and nodded at his words, feeling a rush of excitement that he did still want to take me out and that he was pleased with me. “Yes Sir, I’d really enjoy going out with you again. What time should I be ready?” He seemed even more pleased with my reply. “Be ready at six, I’ll text you in the afternoon about what to wear.” With that, he escorted me out of the building and locked it, then kissed me on the cheek and headed for his car while I climbed in the back of Gavin’s Jeep. Lish looked like the cat who got the cream and I couldn’t help but laugh as I spilled the beans on date night and the prospect of playing publicly for the first time.
The drive was quick and spent in good conversation and soon I found myself back in my room, wearing my usual baggy shirt to crawl into bed. It had been a long day, and for once I didn’t worry about what I was to John, since he had so clearly shown everyone at the group meeting tonight. A smile on my face, I snuggled into bed and was out before I knew it.
