Chapter 18
“Mom, I’m going upstairs to study!” I exclaimed while taking the stairs back to my room after spending the entire day with my family.
“Okay, hun!” She replied from the kitchen.
Dinner was over. The skies were altering colors, turning dark and misty. I partly drew one of the windows open, let some fresh air run into my room. After drinking alcohol last night, I still couldn’t get rid of the taste and the smell of it. Whatever I ate or drank tasted just like alcohol for some absurd reason.
I turned on the golden lamp light beside my bed and grabbed the comforter before tucking myself underneath it.
