I was running, fast and hard. My heart was thundering in my chest as I continued to sprint through the empty, abandoned town I once called home. There was no one here, no one except for me. The sky was as dark as it could get with heavy clouds, promising a storm in just a while. Cold air whooshed around me and the hair over my bare arms rose, forcing me to slow down. My teeth chattered and I began quivering. “No, keep running…” I whispered to my self as I stepped in another block. When I glanced around at my surroundings, I found my home close by but I couldn’t go there. It was deathly and dangerous inside there. I couldn’t go there. The cold breeze slammed against my face.
