Having someone backing me up was such a strange feeling, but I felt delighted seeing Elijah and Evelyn turn pale because of Alpha Damien’s words.
But then I saw a very familiar necklace on Evelyn’s neck.
“Ohh, I didn’t know you were so cheap as to give my wedding gift to your mistress, Elijah,” I mocked. “Can’t buy new, more expensive jewelry for her?”
Last time, I wouldn’t have the courage to say those words, or even behave like this, but with Alpha Damien here with me and as I was soon to leave this wretched place, I didn’t need to be afraid anymore.
“You!” Evelyn looked ready to tear me apart but suddenly Alpha Damien spoke.
“Did she say something wrong?” His tone was so condescending toward the couple it kinda made me giddy.
