Just after eight o’clock, Brodie left the apartment, making sure that the SEAT was blindsided by a white van squeezing through a gap in the parked cars. He walked quickly along to the alley behind El Puerto, and made his way round two blocks of townhouses, approaching the square from the reverse angle. The two occupants of the SEAT were intent on watching Malik, wandering up and down the balcony, her phone at her ear, talking animatedly. Brodie opened the rear door of the car, slipped in behind the front passenger and poked his suppressed Glock17 into the side of the man’s bald head. “Just nod if you speak English.” Both men nodded. “OK, drive out of here.
