Les Haswell was born in Glasgow and spent his early years in Ayrshire, in South-West Scotland. Having been educated there and served an engineering apprenticeship he embarking on a world tour of Scotland, living in Ayrshire, Perthshire, Morayshire, Aberdeenshire and Stirlingshire, before ending up in Aberdeen.
Working in the offshore oil & gas industry for much of his business life, Les has travelled the world and visited places as culturally diverse as Latin America and USA, West & East Africa, the Middle & Far East.
Les now lives with his wife in Winchester in Hampshire.
