Back at the Breswick Coven Raven's POV Every-time my father would piss me off I would go to the library, deep down under the coven's hidden walls, the library lays. I walk into the front entrance as i whisper "Intrare the liber of sapientia and scientia" (Enter the library of Wisdom and Knowledge) The door starts to glow a bright green glow and I smirk. I enter the library. The librarian I see as I walk towards the back to my favorite spot reminds me of a warm spring day. I giggle to myself as she walks over as I think her name Ms. Thermane literally means just that. Her bright blue eyes sparkle as she asks, "What's so funny?" I take my usual seat and open my favorite book. "Oh, just how your name means a warm spring day and that's what you remind me of." She laughs and shakes out her long brown hair from her bun, "Well, i'm glad that you're smiling now, because for a minute their I was wondering if your dad pissed you off again." I scowled at her and she immediately stopped laughing, "He did? Didn't he?" I sighed, "I just don't feel listened too or respected." I put my head in hands and grumbled "I'm not a babysitter." "I'm a witch." "A great witch at that." Ms. Thermane smiled. (Nancy as she liked to be called.) "But, what do you mean by babysitter?" I looked up again and saw her concerned expression. So I launched into an explanation of everything, while Nancy listened intently."Woah...wow...i mean just...I don't even know what to say." She shook her head and then looked thoughtful, "I have an idea." She quickly disappeared as my phone started to ring. I looked at the caller ID Papa Bear it read I sighed and answered. "Hello dad." His voice was frantic, "Sweetie come home now! Please!" I jumped up knowing my calm collected dad wouldn't be freaking out if he didn't mean it. I heard a loud crash and dropped my phone and turned around to see a tall pale skinny blonde man holding Nancy by knifepoint. “Run!” She mouthed. I stood froze and glared my heart racing. “Mhm, witch I smell your blood and fear, give me what I want and we can all go home!” I laughed “I have no idea what you’re talking about!” I heard my dad yelling at me through my phone but I ignored him. “Where is the book?!” He growled. I shivered and just shrugged grabbing the potion ball from my bag and hurling it at him. He shrieked and burst into flames I watched wide eyed as Nancy grabbed me and hurled me through the back door and shut it with a loud bang she panted “How did you do that?!” She screamed. I was shaking and I just shrugged “I-I don’t know!” She peered at me and lead me to the middle of the room. The back door of the library held a room with just a mirror. The lights flickered on and she smiled at the mirror. “This is what I was planning on showing you when I got grabbed.” She hissed out the word “grabbed” “ I should’ve know.” “I felt..it..I knew something was wrong but wasn’t quick enough.” She sighed. I hugged her quickly and gave her a reassuring smile “It’s okay..” I looked at the mirror as it called to me. “What’s with the mirror?” Nancy grinned “The mirror calls to you doesn’t it?” I nodded surprised she understood, “Not only is it a portal but it’s a way to communicate with others without being seen.” I gave her a weird look and she just laughed and pulled me too the mirror it lightly glowed as we approached and I grinned. “Now,” she instructed, “Think of home and say home and it will appear then step through.” I closed my eyes and thought of my living room and said “Home.” loud and clear and opened my eyes to see the mirror reflect my dad and Catalina on the couch. My dad had his head in his hands I instantly walked through with Nancy at my heels. We stepped into the living room from the mirror across from the couch smoke billowing at our feet. My father and Catalina looked up worried “Oh thank the gods” my father said. He smirked at Nancy “You taught her how to travel through mirrors huh?” She smirked back and said “ Well someone had too, besides, she was too mad at you anyways. So I figured why not.” I looked at the mirror that we had just stepped out of. “So that’s why there’s a mirror in here.” My father started laughing and nodded. I sat back against the couch and sighed deeply. My father sighed as well. “I’m sorry I upset you.” He said softly. Catalina handed myself and Nancy a cup of tea as they sat down on the other sides of me. I smiled and thanked my father and said softly “it’s okay dad.” “I’m sorry as well.” I looked down, “It was childish of me to leave like I did.” My father shook his head “You’re hot tempered like your mother.” I smirked at that and looked at the mirror. “Can I see Sarah?” My father and Catalina hesitated. “Yes, but she won’t be able to see you just yet. Can’t have to many prying eyes,.” I nodded and my father walked over to the mirror and motioned me over. I walked over and he spoke softly and clearly “Videamus parvam puellam c*m viribus Haitian” (Let us see the little girl with the Haitian powers) before our eyes the mirror billowed some smoke and shimmied and their she sat in her bedroom playing with little dolls. She looked adorable. She looked up at the mirror and grinned at both of us “I can see you.” She said in a not so childlike voice and I instantly jumped away from the mirror and landed on my ass on the floor as the image disappeared. My father Nancy, Catalina, and myself all looked at one another. “Brew a pot of coffee Cat my dear it’s going to be a very long night.” Before I could even muster a sound my father grabbed the book and said “Let’s get too it.”
