Third person POV

" No you cannot play with us" Said the boy

" why?" He asked

" You don't have a mom" Shouted another boy

" You are a bad boy so you don't have a mom" screamed a girl of same age

" you are a loser" another one added

" We will not play with you" a boy a year older than him

" Please play with me.... I will be a good boy. please..." he pleaded, tears now flowing freely

"No, you are a monster, my mom told me not to play with you" said the first girl with a frown.

"I-I ...am n-not a m-monst-ter, I am a good boy" He was now a crying mess

" No you are a monster, even your daddy don't like you" first boy shouted with a shove

"Please..." He pleaded again

" Go away!!!" they pushed him hard on ground

"let's run , or he will eat us " all children shouted and ran away leaving the boy on cold hard ground, now bruised due to fall and whimpering

" I-I am n-not a monster" He wailed

And he cried and cried on the ground

A man who was watching this whole scene unfold before him from his office window was this boy's father.

Alex Robinson Covey a 5 year old boy son of Alpha David Von Covey of Blood Hound pack, the strongest and largest pack in New York, is now a whimpering mess on ground.

One will think he should be most loved boy , spoiled by his mom and cared by his dad but no... This boy have to face the harsh world on its on. Her mother was no more with him, his dad is there but he is just his Alpha, a cold-blooded man who is not phased by his own child bullied by his pack members.

Things were not like this , five years ago Alpha David Von Covey was just a 22 year old young man, full of life. He was a cheerful and wise boy. His life was similar to any romantic cliche novel... Got caring and loving parents, a large pack, got his wolf Harris at 16 and his long time best friend Mary, daughter of one of their warriors as his mate. He could never ask life for more. After his coronation at 20 he became official Alpha to Blood Hound pack. At 21 he got married to Mary who was then 20. The couple was looked up to... they were the dream couple of everyone.

Things were going great , both David and Mary were wise and fair leader. Everybody was happy and to add to their happiness the Alpha and Luna informed the pack about their expecting child. It was icing on the cake, the news spread rapid like a forest fire. Everyone congratulated the couple, oblivious of the upcoming tragedy which was in no one's control. The tragedy happened 5 years ago not only broke the Alpha but his emotions also.

Flashback 5 years ago...

" Luna you can do it.... We can already see the head, just push okay..." a man in white gown said

" Luna on count of three...1...2...3! push!"

Luna Mary and Alpha David are in pack hospital and any minute the will be graced by their first child arrival. Alpha David was anoxious , he can't believe he will be a father now any minute. He was holding his wife's hand in his who in turn was squeezing it hard, if he was not an alpha his hand would have been broken for sure. But he don't mind it, he was lovingly looking at her wife who is in labour and panting hard ,sweat covering her forehead but her light green eyes sparkling with excitement to welcome her baby and do the many things she and her husband has planned to do.

Their families are waiting outside for their new member and the pack for their future alpha.

" Luna you are doing good... just one more push... " and with a last push the Luna delivers the child, a baby boy as they expected.

"Congratulation Alpha, our future Alpha is here , the doctor handover the now crying baby boy to his father. He was a small cute little thing, he had the same forest green eyes as his mother but with light gold speck, dark chocolate brown hair same as his father.

The Alpha was the happiest man in the world now, he turned towards his wife to show him their bundle of joy

" Dear see our baby boy... he has your eyes " he showed the boy to his wife

"And he has your hair.... Our boy Alex ... Alex Robinson Covey" Mary smiled at both her boys

On hearing his wife naming their child he looked at his wife, she is as beautiful as ever her skin now more pale and her twinkling eyes has lost some of the shine, he frowned and noticed the change

" Doctor why she is looking pale?"

The now noticed , and checked her

"wait what is this?" the pack doctor suddenly stopped his examination his expression are those of horror.

"What happened , is there a problem?" Alpha David inquired.

" Alpha I think Luna is having postpartum hemorrhage"

" What does that means?"

"Alpha it means after she delivers the child and placenta if the blood vessels are not constricted the blood will flow causing hemorrhage..."

The alpha did not let him finish

" What do you mean..?!"

"Alpha, If we cannot stop her bleeding she may... may "

"She may what!!?"

"She may die"

With this the whole room was in chaos, Alpha David was shouting out orders to save his love,his Luna. The doctors were running everywhere some checking machines, some bringing blood bag. Amid all this the baby boy was left unattended. He was not crying now, he was looking at her mother who was in turn looking at him. Both mother son had eyes for each other , the mother was sending silent words of calmness to her child. Luna Mary's eyes were on her son.

She knew she donot have much time left, she was looking at her son to her heart content. She wished him a happy life. She turned to her mate, her husband. He was shouting at every one, his desperation clear on his face. Feeling someone's eye on him Alpha David turned towards her, as soon as he saw his wife he relaxed. He reached up to his wife and took her hand in his .

His wolf Harris who was silent this whole time due to nervousness is now suddenly Whimpered.

David.... she is not responding...

Who...? David asked but already knowing the answer

Shane( Mary's wolf)... Harris whined

NO! this can't happen, David thought

He looked at his wife, desperation clear in his eyes

" Dear, please stay with me... We have a lot of things to do. We will go on vacation, and enjoy your favourite Ice cream. You can go to beach... and lot more. Please dear..." at the end he was crying, he could not form words anymore.

Mary with all her last bit of strength squeezed his hand, she glanced towards Alex. Alex was already looking at her, his green eyes were as if she was looking at a mirror. Shane had already bid goodbye to their pup now it's her time. David followed her line of sight and saw his son.

Everything came rushing back to him, how he was not ready for child, it's not like they have actually talked about it but watching his wife happy was enough for him to deal with it. They were really happy, they had prepared nursery for their child personally, when they knew it's a boy the themed nursery into various shades of blue. David was happy as long as his wife was. Mary was really looking forward to this and so he was. But the news which should have been their joy is becoming worst nightmare. He despised the idea of another child, no he now despise this one also.

If not for this boy his wife would be healthy now , not on the deathbed. She would have been with him, her beautiful eyes, her smile and most importantly her sweet voice like the sweetest melody. She was perfect, she was his wife, his Luna, his life, his everything. He cannot imagine his life without her. But now his love of the life is slipping away from him and he couldn't do anything except cry.

He may not get back his wife back. All because of whom he thought, and the only answer is this infant boy . Yes , he promised himself if today my wife is not going to make it then it's because of him and I will never acknowledge him as my son, never.

The alpha was unaware that in rage of losing his wife he is declining the gift of his wife, thier symbol of Love, their son.

Mary saw the sudden change of expression in David's eyes, she saw disgust, sorrow, anger and pain. She couldn't do anything, her mouth couldn't form any word. She was slipping into her death. After many attempts the last words she could utter is

" Alex..."

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep....

Everything became silent, this sudden silence was more deafning than noise.

Machines attached to Mary's body are showing a straight green line, indicating the proof that she is no more.

David still holding Mary's hand felt the life slowly leaving her. Her beautiful green eyes were blank, nothing. She was pale, sickly pale. Her then rosy lips now chapped. He cannot believe it she is dead... His mate is dead.

All this may have felt as a nightmare if not for the bone tearing pain starting from his heart spreading throughout his body, which forced him to leave her hands and clutch his chest. This is the pain people talks about. This is the pain of losing your other half, your mate.

David was now on floor, clutching his heart and crying in a featal position. He did not realised when his family members entered the ward and now his father and mother was holding him, rubbing his back. But he was in pain, not only emotionally but physically.

That night David did not only lost his wife and mate but a pack lost its Luna, parents lost their only daughter and most importantly a child lost its mother , he couldn't even get to have his mother's hug or words.

That night David lost someone but everyone lost him.

David as promised never acknowledge Alex as his son. He allowed his parents to raise him but he hated him, he never looked for his son let alone hold him. Once a while he may glance at him as Alex was feeding , but looking into those green eyes reminds him of his loss, one he can never regain. This makes him more furious.

Slowly the once cheerful and wise Alpha turned into a stone cold Alpha.

As time went by he gained reputation as the most strong and cruel Alpha. Even his own pack members were afraid of him. On positive side Blood Hound pack have very few or no rouge intrusion.

Amid all these the boy who on his birth not only lost his mother but his father also was forgotten.

Alex was now a 5 year old boy, raised by his grandmother as his grandfather died 2 years ago.

He was not abused or anything but also not as loved as he should be like other children of his age. He was lonely among the crowd of people. No one acknowledge him as a person, let alone as future Alpha. And whom he can complain to, his own father hate him.

He have never called his father daddy, once when he said so he was punished by not having food for whole day, even his grandmother couldn't help him. He addressed his father as Alpha David.

No one plays with him, some people taught their children to not to play with him just to be on alpha's good side, saying Alex is a monster.

Alex never wanted anything else, he carved love. When he saw how other children have a mom and he don't he felt lonely.

His grandmother always said his mother is with moongoddess, so every year he would pray to the moongoddess to give him a mother, who will love him and protect him.

This year also he prayed

"Dear moongoddess, please give me a mom. I will always be a good boy, I will not eat sweets. Please moongoddess give me a mom."

His grandmother who watched him recite his same prayer over and over on Christmas and birthday was crying. She knows that what he is asking for is the one thing that moongoddess can't grant him. She silently pray to the heavens at least give this boy peace and love from his father.

Today was like any other day Alex was bored in his cottage where he lives with his grandmother. He and his granny lived in a cottage near packhouse. He strolled out from the cottage, he noticed there were some children playing near packhouse.

He had no friends other than Ethan who was an omega's child.

He walked towards the children in hope of playing with them but they shoved him and ran away leaving him a crying mess.

Alpha David who saw this did not helped his son, but seeing him like this did made him want to help. His wolf was screaming at him to protect their pup but as usual he blocked him out . This sudden surge of emotions in him disgusted him and he was furious. He screamed from his window

" ALEX ROBINSON, WHY ARE YOU NEAR PACKHOUSE ? I HAVE TOLD YOU CLEARLY NOT TO COME CLOSE HERE!!!

Alex who is already whimpering now frightened of his father's voice.

He stood up shaking and ran away as fast as he can.

He ran like his life depended on it. He ran into woods not knowing where he was going... He was crying and did not bother to look at the surrounding.

After running sometime he got tired and sat near a tree. He was totally exhausted and instantly fell asleep.

Alex was dreaming of a beautiful lady with Black hair and sweet smile, he wanted her as his mother. Suddenly he was awakened by a loud growl.

When he opened his eyes he saw 3 large wolves were running towards him, their teeth baring at him and their eyes red.

He did not know them but one thing is sure, her grandmother always taught him of rouges. They have red bloodshot eyes, guttery smell and they are danger .

He immediately stood up and ran to save his life , but he ran in opposite direction of his previous path.

Alex ran fast but due to sprain in his ankle he couldn't ran fast, and him being a 5 year old he do not have his wolf.

Suddenly he was thrown a few feet away by a strong weight on him. He turned to see that he was surrounded by not only three but five rouges. He is now helpless, he is now crying as he knew he cannot escape from them.

A dark brown rouge having a cut on his snout growled loudly and pounced on him , Alex closed his eyes as he felt it's his death. He remembered his grandmother sweet smile and his father's face the last time he saw.

He thought, He is now going to die for sure, he will never meet his mother from dream and he now cannot eat food made by his grandmother.He was waiting for the pain of teeth sinking in him but it never came.

Suddenly a loud painful howl was heard throughout the forest, Alex opened his eyes to see that the wolf who was going to eat him is now on ground. A huge tree branch is sticking out from its abdomen, and it is dead.

Everything happened in slow motion, Alex saw how one by one all the five wolf died in front of him. He turned to see who killed those wolf and his eyes became wide....

A woman with black hairs, in jeans and T-shirt looking at him.

This was her mother from his dream.... finally moongoddess granted his wish.

He have a mom now.
