Mara between Eugene And Athena

Eugene can't tolerate Athena's silence anymore and runs to her, gives her a back hug.

"Sorry dude! I know I hurt you. Please forgive me this time" Eugene says while tightening his hug.

"Why do I forgive you when I even didn't mad at you?" Athena says while stroking his hair with one hand.

Eugene smiles and faces Athena; she is also smiling through pain.

"So will you come to me because I want to buy gifts for everyone" Eugene says and Athena nods and leaves him.

"She isn't the same Boo I know. She behaves like Athena" Eugene says while looking at the disappearing figure of Athena.

Athena normally comes to her house where everyone is waiting for her.

"See, she comes," Becky says.

"So how's the night, hmm??" Nora teasingly asks.

"He slept and didn't come to the rooftop yesterday. But he came as soon as he remembered and he almost grabbed my feet and said sorry multiple times. So the rooftop's plan failed" Athena says and everyone looks at her in disbelief.

"But today after office we will go shopping and then I will tell him. Excuse me I have to put all things where it belongs" Athena says and fake smiles then directly leaves to her room.

"I told you…!" Mr.Walton says.

"Honey, will you please calm down? Didn't you know yesterday was Eugene's event and that's why he didn't come to meet her" Nora says in frustration.

"You all didn't believe me yet, fine now I will not say anything" Mr.Walton says and leaves for work.

Athena locks the door and starts crying hard. She covered her mouth so that no one heard her voice.

"He forgot his promise. I… Am I that useless? I thought he was at his event but he already came at 2am but didn't come to meet me. Was dad right that he didn't love me and I am only a fool with these feelings?" Athena says to herself and sobs hard.

"No. Athena maybe you think like a lover but you are his best friend you know him right. He is i***t and stupid but he never intentionally hurt you so stop this" Athena says while wiping her tears and fall asleep.

On the other hand, Mara sits on the couch and thinks about yesterday's events and blush when her eyes stop on the newspaper where her and Eugene's photograph is printed while Izabella comes with a cup of coffee.

"Mara! Mara you don't tell me about your hand wound" Izabella says which flinches Mara a little.

"I'm okay mom," Mara says.

"But we will go to the hospital for a check up," Izabella says.

"Mom!! I'm okay" Mara says in a serious tone.

Izabella sees Mara's affectionate gaze on the newspaper.

"First someone cage you in his eyes and I think first time you are ready to cage herself in his eyes" Izabella says and Mara looks at her doe eyes.

She blushed and went directly to her office. She comes into the office while talking to one of his clients. Her eyes stop on the newspaper on her desk and she again gets lost in Eugene's thoughts while sitting on her chair. She affectionately looks at the newspaper. Meanwhile Eugene knocks which makes Mara flinch and come back to reality. She in panic opened her laptop and hinted to Eugene to come in.

Eugene comes in with a bright smile and stands while Mara starts typing in a close laptop in nervousness.

Then she looks up at Eugene and says "Yes!"

Eugene shows a big, thin and rectangular shaped thing which is beautifully wrapped. Eugene moves the present towards Mara.

"It's for you. A gift for you" Eugene says.

Mara holds the present "For me?" She surprisingly asks.

"Yup! Now open it" Eugene says and Mara nods.

She starts unwrapping the gift paper and Eugene puts the gift paper aside. It's a photo frame. Mara turned the frame and was surprised to see her relaxed and beautiful picture without any dark aura and obsession.

She looks up at Eugene who is smiling then again on the photo frame. She smiles softly while looking at her picture.

"When did you capture it?" Mara asks in surprise.

"When you completely forget your obsession and are lost in peace," Eugene says and Mara smiles.

"It's beautiful!" Mara says and she seems so moved by Eugene.

She is about to put that frame aside when Eugene stops her. She looks at him with doe eyes.

"Not here" Eugene says and takes the photo frame from her hands she furrows a bit.

Then Eugene goes to her front and then takes out the clock painting and places her photo frame there.

"Now all times of the world are replaced by Mara" Eugene says and Mara smiles.

"Thank you!" Mara says.

"Thank You!!" Eugene says while pressuring his words then he comes towards her and continues "For this job, For believing in me, For opportunity and For yesterday's night because I never thought about the night like yesterday. I never saw that kind of night in my whole life."

"Same I also" Mara says and Eugene furrows.

"But for you all these things are normal, right?" Eugene asks in a soft tone.

"No Eugene! Yesterday night was also special for me. (Eugene nods) Yesterday night was a new start for us, right?" Mara asks.

"Fine!" Eugene says and moves his hand towards Mara while his palm facing the roof.

Mara looks at him and his hand she blushes and hesitatingly moves her hand because she thinks Eugene wants her hand. She slowly moves her hand and about to place it in Eugene's hand but stops when Eugene says "My gift!!"

She moves her hand immediately towards her ear and feels embarrassed but luckily Eugene didn't notice her.

"Gift…! Ah! I increased your bonus" Mara says while again opening her laptop.

"What? What are you saying Mara? One side you are talking about a new start and the other side you said bonus. Gift is replaced by a gift, right?" Eugene says.

"Okay! Then what do you want? I will order whatever you want" Mara asks and says.

"Anything you will choose by your hand, I will take it. Okay, see you!" Eugene says while smiling and winking at Mara.

She smiles widely and looks at Eugene's back who is surrounded by everyone and they congratulate him.

A pink tint of blush appears on her cheeks and she calls her mom.

"Hello Mara!" Izabella surprisingly says.

"Hi mom!" Mara says when Izabella quickly asks "What's going on, huh? You sound happy, hmm?"

"You will get ready at 5. We have to go shopping to buy a very special gift," Mara says and ends the call. She turns towards Eugene and smiles at everyone cheering up.

After some hours she leaves early and Eugene also completes his work quickly. He calls Athena.

On the other hand, Athena cuts the picture of Eugene from the newspaper and cuts Mara from the picture happily and her dad comes from behind.

"Great! Now frame this, okay?" Mr.Walton sarcastically says.

"Why do I frame this? I will paste it in my scrapbook. You know I placed all my memories with Eugene in my scrapbook" Athena innocently says while Mr.Walton sits beside her.

"Sure why not! When someone has to spend their whole life relying on someone's memories so we should be taken care of some memories and keep them aside, right?" Mr.Walton indirectly taunts Athena.

"Dad… I… Today I will confess, promise. I swear…!" Athena says and is cut off by Mr.Walton.

"Like you said yesterday and promised us. And like you did this for a long time, right?" Mr.Walton sarcastically asks.

"But yesterday was his event, right? So he came late from his event…!" Mara defends herself and Eugene.

"He was late or forgot, huh?" Mr.Walton asks which makes her speechless.

Mr.Walton holds her hands and says with care "I tell one thing Athena! There is no sound of heart breaking."

Athena looks down then she smiles while disagreeing with her dad.

"And I also tell you one thing that Eugene never breaks my heart,never. You know why? Because I trust him more than myself. My Eugene never does that" Athena says confidently with a bright smile.

"That's why you separate Mara with him, huh?" Mr.Walton says and Athena's smile drops.

"You know I care for you my princess!" Mr.Walton says while patting her head with so much love.

Suddenly Athena's phone rings and Mr.Walton tells her to pick up his call. Athena excuses her dad and gets up from there.

"Hey!" Athena coldly says.

"What with this tone? You know what your problem is? You didn't think and forgot everything" Eugene blabbering.

"What are you blabbering about?" Athena asks.

"Jesus Christ! I don't know why but your God put all brain in me. Boo! Get ready I'll come to pick you" Eugene says.

"To pick me, huh? But where are we going?" Athena asks.

"Uh!! Because I got my first salary so we have to spend money and that's why we will go shopping. So get ready I told you in the morning" Eugene says.

"Oh! I remember!!" Athena says.

"So now we will shop like rich people" Eugene says and Athena loudly says "Yeah!!"

She stops because she didn't realize her dad was there. He sighs and Athena just smiles embarrassingly.

"Hey! Listen, you will meet me in front of our favorite coffee shop. And come with the coupons from Aunt Darny we will not waste them, okay?" Athena says in a low voice and ends the call.

"Huh? She will never change" Eugene sighs.

Mara saw her dad in a shopping mall and was scared as hell but overcame her fear when she saw Eugene…!
