I walked into the Valerius Tower with a spring in my step because I knew that today was the day Krystal Reed would finally be erased from Alex’s life for good, and as I rode the elevator up to the executive floor, I kept tapping the thick manila envelope against my leg.
The office was in a state of complete chaos because Krystal hadn't shown up for work and Alex was acting like a madman, snapping at the interns and pacing around his desk while he waited for Marcus to call him back with news.
