WENDY’S POV The morning light barely filtered through the curtains when I was shaken awake. My eyes fluttered open to see Ermac standing over me. His expression was as cold and unreadable as always. “Get up,” he commanded. His voice was firm, leaving no room for argument. I groaned, stretching the stiffness from my limbs. “What’s going on?” “We need to talk,” he said, stepping back to give me room to sit up.
