ALLISON’S POV “Allison,” Alex said “We’re done leaving you in here.” My breath caught in my throat. I didn’t expect to be released so early. I wanted to say something, anything. I wanted to tell them how sorry I was for what I did, for lying to them. We hadn’t been able to have a conversation about that since. “Don’t,” Allen said “Don’t say anything yet.” I swallowed hard, nodding as they stepped aside to let me pass.
