Allen's POV The anger boiled in my veins as I stared at the empty room Wendy once occupied. My fists clenched at my sides, and my jaw tightened until it ached. How the hell had I missed this? How could I not have seen what she was planning right under my nose? “She’s gone,” the guard had said. Gone. The word echoed in my mind repeatedly. Wendy hadn’t just left.
