Abandoned With A Baby

Chapter 13

I wake up to the vibrations of my phone, groaning I turn my back to my phone trying to go back to sleep. I sigh when I hear the vibrating stops, but my solace is short lived once the vibrating starts back up again. Sighing I turn towards the nightstand that holds the device stopping me from getting more sleep and I’m cursing whoever it is that is causing said device to vibrate. Once I see the name on the screen I sigh and throw my phone back on my nightstand and turn my head trying to go back to sleep.

I can feel the darkness creeping up on me, but it disappears when my phone vibrates again, sighing I sit up on my elbows and grab my phone answering it, already knowing who it is.

“What do you want?” I ask the person on the other end.

“Well, a little feisty aren’t we, princess?” They said after a couple of minutes.

“Well you would be to when your woken up by the person that you don’t want to talk to for the rest of your life,” I say getting up and walking to my dresser grabbing my clothes, deciding that I wouldn’t be able to go back to bed now and that it was time to go and get ready for the day.

“Well… you’re not wrong, but we really need to talk,” they say, and I sigh.

“We already talked yesterday Brad,” I saw, then hang up before he can even say anything back to me. I put my phone and clothes down on the counter of my bathroom. Then I turn on the shower and check it to make sure it is the right temperature when I decide that it is good, I take my clothes off and hop into the shower.

When I finish my shower I get dressed and walk out my phone and dirty clothes in hand, I throw my dirty clothes in the hamper and put my phone on the vanity in my room, and I do my hair in a tight ponytail and some light makeup. Before, walking out of my room my reflection in the mirror catches my attention, I stand there looking at myself, when I look down at my stomach, I put my hands over my stomach and turn sideways, I pull up my shirt and run my hand over my stomach feeling the small bump, I smile a little and look down.

“It’s just you and me little one,” I say to the little bean in my stomach. After looking at my stomach for a couple more seconds, I pulled my shirt down and grabbed my phone from the nightstand, and opened my door and walking downstairs.

“You're up early,” Aunt Ruth says when she sees me walk into the kitchen.

“Yeah, I couldn’t go back to sleep,” I say pulling out the chair at the kitchen table and sitting down.

“Oh, well I hope you got enough sleep, you and the baby both need it.” She says putting a plate with food in front of me, I nodded my head at her grabbing my fork and digging in.

“So what do you have planned for today?” Aunt Ruth asks setting more plates down for her, Uncle Bruce, and Jeff, before sitting down in front of her plate.

“I don’t know, probably watch some tv or hang out with Ash and some other friends,” I say putting my fork down and grab my napkin and wipe my mouth. Aunt Ruth hums and nods her head while putting food in her mouth. I get up and walk into the living room and grab the TV remote and sit down on the couch. I turn it on and start to flip through the channels looking for something that seems interesting. My attention is diverted from the tv to the sound of someone running downstairs.

“Hey mom,” Jeff says running into the kitchen and to the table where he grabs his fork and scoffs down his food.

‘Disgusting’ I think when I see him eating, I turn back to the stairs when I catch Uncle Bruce walking down the stairs putting his tie on, I smile when he walks up to Aunt Ruth and gives her a kiss on her forehead.

“Hey, sweetie” Uncle Bruce says when he walks around the table, pulling out a chair and sitting down and starting to eat.

“Hey,” I say smiling at him, he smiles back and I turn back to the tv continuing my search for something to watch. After a couple of flipping through channels, I finally find a show that seems interesting for me to watch.

“What are you watching?” Jeff says sitting next to me. I look at him and he looks at me and gives me a goofy smile causing me to smile.

“I don’t know it just seemed interesting,” I say looking back at the tv, still smiling. For an hour or so we are still watching tv, the shows change and sometimes the channel even changed.

“Well it’s time for me to go and hang out with the guys,” Jeff said after looking at his phone. He stands up and walks over to Aunt Ruth and Uncle Bruce.

“See you later mom, bye dad,” Jeff says giving Aunt Ruth a kiss on the cheek and a little hug, and waves to Uncle Ruth.

“Bye sweetie,” Aunt Ruth says to Jeff as he walks to the front door.

“See you, Melissa,” Jeff says waving to me when he gets to the door and I leave after I wave back.

After a couple of minutes, Uncle Bruce walks up to Aunt Ruth and gives her a kiss and hugs her.

“Well, it’s also time for me to leave, see you two later,” he says walking over to me and leans over the couch and gives me a kiss on the cheek.

“Bye,” Aunt Ruth and I say at the same time, I turn back to watching tv and Aunt Ruth goes upstairs.

After a couple of hours, I feel my phone vibrate and I picked it up and sighed when I saw who had texted me. I put my phone down and looked back up at the tv and back to the show that was playing. I sighed again when my phone vibrated again, and then again when I was looking at my phone.

Brad - We really need to talk

Brad - I'm serious, we need to talk now

Brad - Are you really ignoring me right now

Me - We have nothing to talk about

Brad - Yes we do

Me - What is there to talk about that we haven’t already talked about

Brad - There are still some things that you need to know

Me - Brad, stop I don’t want to know nor do I need to know

Brad - Yes you do if you're going to have my kid then you need to know this

Me - Brad, one this is MY kid, not YOURS you didn’t want it, you have no right, and two now you want to be in the kid's life, well too bad you gave up that right long ago. So goodbye now so stop talking to me and stop texting me.

I put my phone down and sighed and after a couple of minutes, I grabbed the remote and turned off the tv and went upstairs. I grabbed my laptop and started to work on my homework. After doing my homework for a couple of hours, I got up and hopped in the shower and put my PJs on and took what little makeup I had on off. I then put my phone on the charger and sat down on the bed and pulled up Netflix on my laptop and started to watch some movies. After a couple of hours I turned off my laptop and closed it and put it on my nightstand and laid down and closed my eyes and felt the darkness creep up on me and then I was out and asleep.
