“I’m sorry that our first date didn’t work out,” Jasper said. He felt really bad and didn’t want Liam to hate him. The other just smiled and grabbed his hand in a show of unusual forwardness. Jasper choked on air. “What do you mean? It’s perfect,” Liam said as he pointed towards the moon that was hanging low in the sky. “The weather’s beautiful so we might buy some takeaway and eat in the park. Let’s make it a picnic.” Jasper barely listened to the word he said as he squeezed a slim hand once, then, again, and again, making sure it was there. It was slightly sweaty, but it felt pleasant. “Let’s get spaghetti. I wanna do the Lady and the Tramp scene,” Jasper replied, letting himself be swayed by the soft smile and positive attitude, forgetting about his grumpiness. Liam had that effect
