chapter 35
MARK Once we finished breakfast I needed to head to my office and get some work done. I didn’t want to be away from Oakley but I took comfort in knowing she would be in the next room, in the Luna office, with my mom. We walked down the hallway together and then after saying we would see each other later we went into the separate offices. I grabbed a bottle of water from my mini fridge and made my way to my desk. Once I sat down I powered on my computer and set my phone on the desk. I grabbed the stack of files waiting for me to go through. I knew it was going to be a long, boring day. Normally over the weekend I would stay caught up mostly on my paperwork and emails. but then I didn’t have my mate. now I did so I could see the weekend paperwork and emails piling up.
