I carefully walked through the hospital. My bare feet pressing against the cold floors. The lights flickered as I walked down the hall. I didn’t know where I was going particularly, but for some reason, my legs wouldn’t stop moving. “Christian..” The faint familiar voice made me stop. There was no way. Then almost instantly, I started to run. I ran down the dark hallway only seeing what was up in front of me with each flicker of the lights. The voice called out for me again and I pushed my body harder. I had to get to her. I had to see her. “Sam!” My throat tightened as it became harder and harder to breathe.
