Chapter Ten

1031 Words
I laid on my bed and cried for what seemed forever. Then, my door creaked open. "GO AWAY!!" I threw a pillow at the door and the person sighed. "Sam. I'm sorry.." Why is he back? I told him to leave. "I don't want to talk to you." He walked into the room and sat next to me on the bed. "Sam, I don't like to see you cry.. and I hate it when I'm the reason. I lo-" He hesitated. "I love making you smile." He caressed my head. Why is he here? To 'patch' things back up? I want to stand my ground and make him go, but I want him to stay and touch me more- to make me feel better... I sat up and looked at him. The moonlight shining on his face. "What are we?" I asked. "You make me laugh, smile, and happy in general. But, we kiss, you touch me... You-" I stopped noticing his face. He was frowning. I ignored it and continued. "You make me want you more. I want you to be my first because I love everything about you. I know you won't hurt me because you hug me when I cry and take care of me when I'm sick and do my homework when I forget it so that my grades stay up." Tears started to fall as I poured my heart out to him. "I love you. You know I do, but for some reason, you don't want me to tell you. I know you love me too because you've told me before. When we were little." I wiped my eyes and smiled. "You told me 'It doesn't matter what happens Sammy because I'll always love you.' It was right then, that I knew I loved you. I knew I wanted you to be with me for everything. You were my first friend, my first kiss, and now I want you to be my first love..." I cried as he wrapped his arms around me. "You are my first everything too.." He whispered into my ear. "I just don't want to see you hurt." I moved back and looked at him. "The only way you don't see me hurt is if you do it yourself." We looked into each other's eyes and then, I knew his answer. Christians P.O.V I walked out of her room and she slammed the door. Why does she have to make our friendship so complicated? I walked down the stairs to see Jamie standing by the door. "You two argue like a married couple. Yet, you say you aren't together." She smirked. "Jamie, do you ever know when to quit? Sam and I are not together. Stop acting like a f*****g want to be Sherlock Holmes, that s**t gets annoying!" She looked as if she'd seen a ghost. I've never yelled at Jamie, no matter how annoying she was. But, tonight wasn't the night. "I'm sorry." She whispered and lowered her head. I rolled my eyes, opened the door, and stormed out. I got in my truck still fuming. I hit the steering wheel and sighed. She's crying, and I know it. I hate to make her cry... I sat for a minute, calmed down, and stepped from the truck. I walked back up the steps and rung the bell. Jamie answered it and frowned at me. "I'm sorry, Jamie. I was way out of line." She smiled and hugged me. "You're forgiven but say that s**t again I'll tell my mom and she'll beat your ass." I laughed at the truth in her words. She released me, and I made my way upstairs. I slowly opened Sam’s door. "GO AWAY!!" A pillow hit me, and I sighed. This isn't going to be easy... "Sam. I'm sorry.." I started as I closed her door. "I don't want to talk to you." She said as I walked into the room and sat next to her. Her head was in the pillow and I noticed the wet spots on it. "Sam, I don't like to see you cry.. and I hate it when I'm the reason. I lo-" I stopped. I almost said something else.. I recovered and started again, "I love making you smile." I caressed her head. She sat up and looked at me. The moonlight shined on her face. She looked like an Angel that had her wings broken, and I had the stone in my hand... "What are we?" She asked. I know where this is going. "You make me laugh, smile, and happy in general. But, we kiss, you touch me... You-" She stopped briefly before continuing. "You make me want you more. I want you to be my first because I love everything about you. I know you won't hurt me because you hug me when I cry and take care of me when I'm sick and do my homework when I forget it so that my grades stay up." She started to cry as she spoke about our relationship. I was ready to reach out and hug her. But, I wanted her to finish. "I love you. You know I do, but for some reason, you don't want me to tell you. I know you love me too because you've told me before. When we were little." She wiped her eyes and smiled. I know exactly what she's talking about. "You told me 'It doesn't matter what happens Sammy because I'll always love you.' It was right then, that I knew I loved you. I knew I wanted you to be with me for everything. You were my first friend, my first kiss, and now I want you to be my first love..." She cried as I quickly wrapped my arms around her. Everything she said is true. She means so much to me. "You're my first everything too," I whispered into her ear. "I just don't want to see you hurt." She moved back and looked at me. "The only way you don't see me hurt is if you do it yourself." We looked into each other’s eyes and I knew my answer.
