I Lied To Myself... I Let Myself Down
Chloe sat down low in her seat, trying to make herself as inconspicuous as possible. Ms. Jordan, her English Lit teacher, was calling on students to read parts for “Romeo and Juliet”. Normally, Chloe would have wanted to participate, but this morning, she just didn’t feel like it. She continued to fidget with her pen and paper, drawing circles and intertwining them at various curves. Once in a while, she shaded in an unusual shape or drew an object inside of it, mostly flower pedals. Chloe couldn’t get her mind off the fact it had been two weeks since she and Amanda last spoke.
