“What I am trying to say is there are kids who are just so angry at their parents or frustrated with authority. Some kids have a lot to deal with at home... lots of problems and stuff. Some parents are never even home, or even if they are, they really don’t care. Or, like my parents who are so strict. I know they care but they never explain why; they say because we said so.” Allison sat up straight, then continued. “I think kids mess around with s*x and other stuff cause they know it would crush their parents if they found out. But, they do it anyway. As I said, it’s sort of a rebellion. They think they’re being really tough, but honestly, I think they are really hurting themselves even more.”
