SUN & SHINE

The sun shines bright, the birds sing sweet,

My heart is light, my joy complete.

The world is full of beauty rare,

And in its splendor, I find my share.

The laughter of a child at play,

The gentle breeze on a summer's day,

The warmth of a hug from a friend,

These are the things that make me grin.

A kind word spoken, a helping hand,

A peaceful moment in a busy land,

The love of family, the bond of kin,

These are the things that make me grin.

So I'll cherish each moment, each smile,

And let happiness linger for a while.

For in the simple joys of life,

I find my peace, my joy, my light.

The waves crash gently, a peaceful view

The sand between my toes, warm and soft

I close my eyes, feeling aloft

Seagulls cry, children play

The salty breeze, a perfect day

I soak up the warmth, the joy, the peace

At the beach, my worries cease

The sun sets low, painting the sky

In hues of orange, pink, and gold so high

I breathe in deep, feeling so free

A sunny day at the beach, where I want to be.
