Katelyn “Katelyn. Hey, Katelyn. You need to wake up.” I can faintly hear the words, but my mind doesn’t register what they are saying. Unfortunately, I can’t ignore the shaking of my shoulder. Ugh. I’m having such a delightful dream. I slowly flutter my eyes open and huff, “Stop it! I’m waking up!” As I finally open my eyes and the room comes into focus, the first thing I see is Bridget’s smiling face in front of me. But when I move, pain shoots through my body from laying awkwardly on the hospital bed. Wait. Hospital bed. My smile quickly fades as I remember why I’m sleeping in the hospital. My eyes instantly dart to the person still lying motionless on the bed. Wyatt. My heart aches seeing him still not moving. I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle not talking to him for weeks.
