After Glen waves his hand at the coffee shop, Olivia observes how much the crowd blocks them from seeing each other, which makes her not notice him in this tiny place. She looks behind her first before she approaches Glen. All the time he encounters Glen Hopkins, he always wears a suit and dress pants. Yet the moment Olivia sets eyes on him at the coffee shop, he is in a polo shirt and jeans. Glen stands up the moment Olivia is right in front of him. He offers his hands, then a sit. The two sat at a table with four chairs, and opposite each other. Between them is, a plate with little crumbs of chocolate cake, and an empty cup of coffee lies on the table. Glen notices Olivia glances at it, so he apologizes for eating before she even arrived, but Olivia assures him, he doesn’t need fussing himself about simple stuff such as this. She then diverts the conversation at once, towards the thing he has to return since her work awaits at the office, yet Glen replied “Why don’t you eat first? Did you have lunch?”. “Not yet, but I will eat after we’re done here”, she said. “All right”, Glen clears his throat, “It is a bit crowded in here, I am not used to it, besides their chocolate cake tastes bland”, he whispered aloud Olivia stares at his deep eyes for a few seconds, and sighs. “It is actually one of the foods I like in here,” she said, therefore Glen apologizes. “It’s fine, we have our own opinion”, she replied. Glen smiles but didn’t utter a word, instead, he puts his hands from his pocket and pulls out Olivia’s ID. Although she anticipated, this scenario, Olivia still throws into surprise without saying out loud or showing it in her expressions. She stayed silent after Glen handed it to her. “How did you get this?”, she asked. “When you pushed me at the back of the car, it fell on the car floor”, he explained, which leads Olivia to a question, “Why didn’t you give it to me at once?”. Glen places both of his hands grasping together on the table “Well, I was hoping, we could meet today because I have something to tell you”. Before Olivia allows to say a word, she also insisted what he did was wrong and warns Glen, never in his life to do it again or else he might find himself back in jail. Glen chuckles and promises at the bottom of his heart if she agrees to his request “What is it you want first?”, she said, raising one of her eyebrows upwards. “I have a charity event this Friday, and I thought maybe you would want to come”. Olivia looks at his eyes and kept her mouth shut for a second because two reasons came into her mind when Glen mentions the event to her. First, he’s getting close to her, in order to spy on the investigation, and second, he might be hitting on her. “What was I thinking?”, Olivia uttered in her head, but still she noted him about her boyfriend, Heath, and Glen laughs at him. “Aren’t you too assuming?” he chuckles. However, Olivia shows him, all her words should not be treated as a joke since they aren’t close to each other. She pulled up a stone face and gives him a deep stare. When Glen notices it, he erases the smile on his face and apologizes once more. The moment Glen fell quiet, all of a sudden Olivia replies, “Let me think about it first”, and nods a little. “You wouldn’t regret it, call me for an update”, he said with a little smile on his face. “All right”, Olivia agrees, “Is that all?”, she then asked. “Yes”, “Well, I have a lot of stuff to do, I’ll call you”, Olivia stands up from her seat and was about to walk away when out of nowhere a hand grabs her at the wrist and told her to wait” She turns around and it was Glen stopping her. The two gaze at each other’s eyes for a couple of seconds, but Olivia diverted her sight towards her wrist, which gives him a hint. Glen notices it and releases her wrist right away. “What is it now?”, Olivia uttered in frustration “I haven’t apologized for my actions last night. Even though you brought me to jail, you instructed someone to look after me. I can’t blame you, I acted ill-mannered”, he said, and yet Olivia refuses his claim, she looked after him. “The policeman provided my needs in the cell, but the others didn’t”, he said. Olivia smiles at him and seizes the opportunity to turn the table. She laughs at him and said, “Aren’t you too assuming?”. Glen complains he sees no point in hiding it from him, besides won’t her little kindness be known to him, therefore a sense of debt will help Olivia hold him in her hands. Although Glen doesn’t want the situation to get in the way he said, it’s the first time, he couldn’t figure out what is going on in someone’s mind. People are natured to take actions towards their own benefits, but this time Glen couldn’t see it in Olivia. Is this a face, or he’s overreacting? Glen lets go of his thought and focus his attention back on the situation. “All right, deny it if you want”, he said, but what Olivia replied to him caught Glen off-guard. “I treated all the prisoners there all equal, perhaps the policeman you said, is not only after you. In addition, if you really wanted to help a person, do it with your heart and don’t be a hypocrite”, she said and dashes away, without a chance for Glen to respond. Following all the words Olivia told him, Glen still wasn’t convinced, she is the person she said to be. However, one thing he is certain about, Olivia knows his stand on the investigation. The death of Halbert, and this investigation can ruin his reputation and all the achievements he worked for, in one snap, and Olivia plays a vital role in it. He must understand or even have a peek, at how the case goes. The first way to know it is through getting close or knowing the true identity of Olivia Clark, and Glen fails terribly on his mission today. Olivia goes in her car and drove to the police station at once, but when she comes back, her stomach begins to growl. “Oh crap!”, she uttered, upon realizing she forgot to pick up lunch at the coffee shop. Her mind was preoccupied with Glen the entire time. She tries on figuring out what his motives are since she found it hard to unsettle the idea, Glen plays innocent, and only wants to get to know her. “Get to know me?”, Olivia pauses and tries to settle in a conclusion, but then she realizes, perhaps Glen tries to grab her attention and wants to get close with her, because of the case. Olivia sneers, Glen thinks she’s too dumb to be tricked in his simple facade. Well, Olivia makes sure to play along and disappoint him. Olivia went inside her office and ordered herself food from a delivery service. She scans her files, then books an appointment with Mayor May’s secretary. Olivia and his secretary get along at ease. Their conversation started formal and professional, but in the end, it leads to two women with a similar liking of a well-known designer shoe. Through somehow winning the heart of his secretary, Olivia adds an opportunity to finally meet Martin May, after her several attempts. Inside her office room, Olivia sits in silence, and her eyes on her laptop, when all of a sudden a knock ends the peace in her alone time. Olivia opens the door, and the delivery guy stands in front of it. The delivery guy handed her a paper bag, and Olivia pays him a bill which was way more than the right amount of the meal. The delivery guy, gives the excess, thinking Olivia doesn’t have a smaller bill “Ma’am, here’s your, change”. “No, it’s all yours”, she refused. The delivery guy thanked her. A bright smile shines on his face, once he received the tip and left the station a bit happy, without her knowledge. Olivia sits, and takes out her food from the paper bag, then out of nowhere, someone knocks again on her door. She wanted to burst into flames since her stomach growls harder, yet instead of complaining Olivia opens the door, and her friend Emmy shows up. “Oh hey, come in!”, she opens the door wider, and Emmy enters. Before the two friends begin their chit-chat, Olivia locks the door first. Emmy and she sit at the desk in the middle of the office room. Olivia opens her food, which made Emmy curious about her eating time since she and Glen met at the coffee shop, where food can be bought. However a spark of idea crosses her mind within a second and Emmy leads to the conclusion, the two didn’t get along well, earlier still, she asks her friend about it. “It was horrible”, Olivia leans on the back of her chair and sighs. “I knew that man is a trouble”, Emmy added but Olivia refuses her friend’s idea of him, “I’ll admit he wasn’t a great person, but Glen is straightforward, and I like it”, she said. After spouting those words Emmy was thrown into confusion, then pleads to the detailed event earlier, of Olivia’s meeting with Glen, so she can create a better judgment on her perception about Glen. “The first time I saw him, arrogance first shows up on his traits,” Emmy utters and sneers. “Yeah, he is”, Olivia’s face turns straight when she leans toward the face of her friend “Here me out first”, she said. Emmy gave Olivia all the right to talk and listen with all ears to her friend, the moment begins on retelling every detail and event on her meeting with Glen. When her little story finishes, Olivia asks Emmy, “What do you think should I do? Agree or not?”. Emmy twists her lips a little and immerses herself in a few seconds of deep thought since she understands that at the back of her mind, her opinion has value over her friend’s decision. Emmy sees no reason why Olivia should go with this terrible man, perhaps Glen chases her friend’s tail for a favor, because of her position at the police station, or he pursues evil desires towards Olivia, Emmy would not let it happen. “No, don’t you ever go with this man”, Emmy spoke in conviction. Olivia froze when Emmy’s advice resonates in her head. It made her recognize how foolish she is. Emmy not even has a bit of idea about her investigation, and it was the right thing. All the knowledge about the information in the murder case must never get out between her and her boss Lt. George Jarvis, thus when her friend Emmy asks how did she and Glen keep in touch considering, she didn’t have a hold on his phone number. “Uhm”, a little patch of sweat begins to flow on her forehead. Olivia clears her throat, then spits whatever comes out from her mouth. “We came across to a…”, her mind went blank, but then the scenes of the images where she and Glen met out of nowhere, at a restaurant, after an unknown car chases her. “We came across to a restaurant and he tried getting my attention,” Olivia said. “Did you two get along?”, Emmy asks with her eyes a bit widened and filled with a spark of interest. “A little, so now he has my number”, Emmy didn’t utter a single word afterwards, yet smirks and nods her head a bit “I know you are a pretty woman, but remember you also tied yourself to Heath”, she said. “I understand”, Olivia releases a deep exhale.
