Lena looked at Daniel, her eyes filled with disappointment. "Do you believe Rosa's words?"
Just moments ago, she had been slightly moved by Daniel's defense of her, but now she felt foolish.
It seemed clear that he only cared about his reputation and didn't truly trust her.
He would believe Rosa's lies even if she claimed the Earth was flat!
"Anyone with a brain wouldn't believe Rosa."
Lena stared at Daniel in shock, unable to believe what she was hearing.
But Daniel's next words disappointed her again.
"However, Rosa isn't entirely wrong. Ordinary people wouldn't know the correct antidote method, and given your background, you wouldn't have had the chance to learn it." Daniel's gaze was steady as he continued. "Don't you think you should explain?"
