Chapter 4
-Serena-
Wealth
Power
Beauty
Fame
These are things that came naturally to me by being born to the right family.
I am the only daughter of the Belezifs, a family with royal blood.
I have never had to want or struggle for anything in my entire life.
Except….
Except for him…
Clyde Harrington.
I want him even if it meant me leaving my country to come to Prudence Academy.
I am ready to do whatever it takes to be by his side.
“Hey Serena, is it true that your family is planning a wedding arrangement with the Harringtons?”
What was her name again?
I think it was Nelly?
Why did I allow her to be friends with me again?
Oh yea, her family runs a large shipping empire or something.
“Well of course, who else is a better match for Clyde.”
“Gosh you’re so lucky and you’re smart too.”
The other girl…..
Let’s just call her Sophia chipped in.
I will dominate this school so much that Clyde would be unable to look at anyone else except from me.
That was what I thought.
*****
“Oh my God, Eliana, that's correct!”
Huh?
Who was this girl?
I don’t like her.
Who even has such shiny silver hair.
Her face is covered in freckles yet….. for some reason I could not take my eyes off of her.
From the corner of my eyes, I saw that the other guys were staring at her like they were love struck.
Like she was some sort of goddess or something.
What’s even more annoying is that she does not even seem to be aware of the attention that she gathers.
*******
“Hey do you guys know who that silver haired b***h is?”
I asked as I carefully applied another coat of lipgloss.
“Who?”
“The smart girl in class?”
Sarah or was it Sophia asked.
“I don’t remember seeing any other silver haired girl now do I?”
Gosh it’s so hard to find useful people these days.
“Well, she is actually the talk of the school. My brother said there are guys already trying to talk to her.”
Tch
What do they even mean by that?!
Are those guys blind?
How can it be that I have yet to be approached.
I would have expected that by now guys would have been flocking to my side trying to build connections with me,
Even Clyde….
Gosh…..
“Well what else do you know about her?”
I asked again, already getting irritated.
“Well apparently Eliana is an orphan on a scholarship grant and does not come from any money.”
Nelly said again.
Bingo!
Mother was right after all.
At the end of it all, the most important thing in this world is being born to the right family.
When it comes down to it, she would never belong in high society.
Tch
I was worried for nothing.
All I need to focus on is my future and turning this school into my kingdom.
To think that for a moment I was worried about what some commoner was doing.
“Isn’t today the hockey team try outs?”
I ask changing the conversation to something more tasteful.
“Oh yessss I hear Clyde would be trying out as well.”
Well that’s more like it.
No doubt that he would become the captain.
“Well I would like to go watch.”
I said getting up from my seat.
The footsteps behind me were rushed and my lips curved into a smirk.
That is how it has always been.
No, that is how it should always be.
*****
In the hallway, heads turned as we made our way to the field.
Then I saw her.
Well it’s hard to kiss her with her out of place silver hair.
Is it even natural?
Hey you. Eliana right?”
“Y-Yes?”
Her skin was too pale, making her look even more delicate.
It angered me.
I would have to remind her of where her place was.
“I heard that you were a scholarship grant. What family are you from?”
I could not help but notice that quite a crowd had gathered.
It would be perfect to do this right in front of everyone so they all know who she was.
“Yes you’re right. I’m a scholarship student as for my family, I wouldn’t know as I am an orphan.”
She replied with a soft smile.
Her grey eyes glistened.
…..The f**k?
“Hey what’s happening here?”
Shit
Clyde?
