“Who smashed Tad’s head in, you or Jamie?” I asked, wanting to hear his confession, leaving no stone unturned.
He laughed in a boisterous tone again and said, “Jamie Bodice. He wanted the money more than I did.”
“What were you two going to do with Tad’s money?”
“First we were going to split it, and then bet it away with Steven Reider’s help, since he’s a bookie. What else can two men do with stolen money?”
