Chapter 45: Bobby Tanner

Bobby Tanner looked exactly like his younger brother, Officer Jim Tanner. The two could have passed for twins if they hadn’t had five years between them. Chloe and Chadwick Tanner had created beautiful boys with rigid jaws, flat stomachs, and fall-into gray eyes. Bobby didn’t make all of his income from the ESFL, I had learned during my short visit to his bungalow on Trotter Street in downtown Vanmer. He admitted to me that he did some on and off betting with Steven Reider, and was quite lucky at it. While sharing a lite beer with him inside his small kitchen, he confessed, “I place about two thousand dollars with Reider a week and usually win the money back.”
