Chapter 7 Ward hummed along to a country/western song as he drove to the farm. The window was open and the wind felt good on his face after the hot day in the mill. He could see now why Tyler’s dad had put in that shower. If you had someplace to go, you wouldn’t want to go smelling like this. He wondered how Tyler had taken his comment about their going home together and making dinner. It had been out of his mouth before he considered what effect it might have. Ward knew Tyler loved him and wanted him, but he wasn’t sure if their relationship would just mirror that which they had in high school. Could he expect something more?
