Armed with dustpans, brooms, paper towels, rubber gloves, and spray cleaner, Autumn and Stephanie started working at the bottom of the narrow stairs that led down into the cavernous basement of the Peabody mansion. Chrissy sat inside a portable playpen Autumn purchased anticipating the need to keep Chrissy safe while she worked. A few toys and snacks were inside, along with her favorite blanket. She put the comfortable little enclosure close enough that Chrissy could see them but far enough away to prevent dust and debris from getting to her.
