Despite Autumn’s trust, Ray’s suspicions regarding Jasper Wiggins led him to confirm that he, in fact, had spent the last few weeks in rehab. The center said he checked in on the afternoon of the festival and stayed until yesterday. By all accounts, Wiggins cooperated with the treatment and worked hard to overcome his addiction. The counselors said that his recovery would be lifelong and that he needed help to stay sober.
Jasper had time before he left the festival to poison the dunk tank, but no one remembered seeing him in the vicinity. Ray kept him on his list of suspects, along with Beatrice.
Greg Manning topped the list, but his attorney blocked Ray from questioning him in jail.
Ray’s phone rang. It was Adam Miller.
“Ray, I just got word that Greg Manning made bail.”
