When Ray and Ace arrived, dinner was in the oven. Autumn let Chrissy and Ace play for a while before feeding them. Chrissy’s appetite grew after playing, so she was more likely to eat all of her food.
“How was your day?”
“Interesting. I think Greg and Beatrice are an item.”
“What makes you say that?”
“I caught them in her office, faces almost touching. They jumped apart when I came to the door. It was all I could do not to laugh.”

“Stephanie likes Greg. She’s been flirting with him—unsuccessfully, I might add.”
“Probably not the best idea. I still don’t know what part he’s playing in all of this.”
