- 8 - Autumn and Chrissy walked into Michael Thornburg’s law office. She had no idea what to expect. Once Autumn was seated on a burgundy leather chair in Thornburg’s formal but comfortable office, he pulled out a thick file. Opening it, he said, “The Peabody file has been with this office since Horatio first came to see my great-grandfather to set-up the will. Horatio Peabody created a generation-skipping trust when he discovered that Daphne Clarke was pregnant. He made sure to take care of his great-grandchildren born of both his sons, Allen Clarke and Maynard Peabody. When Abigail Peabody disappeared, the townspeople suspected murder, but nothing was proven. Horatio’s generosity to the community silenced those who tried pressing the issue with the local police.” Michael Thornburg
