Noami's P.O.V.
The next morning, Dad knocked on my door, a rare occurrence. He usually preferred to leave messages with the staff. "Naomi, can we talk?" he asked, a hint of excitement in his voice.
We settled on the balcony overlooking the ocean, the morning sun casting a golden glow on the water. "So," Dad began, "I've been thinking."
My heart did a little flutter. Was he finally going to address the awkwardness with Seraphina and the step-siblings?
"I know things haven't been… ideal," he continued, "but I want you to have the best possible experience here."
"Dad, it's fine," I started, but he cut me off.
"No, it's not fine," he said firmly. "I want you to be happy here, to have friends, to feel at home." He paused, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "And I have a plan."
He leaned forward, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "I'm bringing your siblings here."
My jaw dropped. "What? Seriously?"
"Yes! They'll be attending Aethelgard Academy with you, Tristan, and Isolde."
I jumped up, a surge of pure, unadulterated joy coursing through me. My siblings, here? In Eldoria? It was like a dream come true.
"That's amazing!" I exclaimed, throwing my arms around him. "But… how?"
"Let's just say I have my ways," he winked. "And I think it'll be good for everyone. A fresh start, a chance to bond."
My mind was already racing. My siblings, in Eldoria! We could explore the city, go to the beach, maybe even convince them to try roller skating. It would be like a real family vacation, only permanent.
"And," Dad added, "I've been doing some research. Aethelgard Academy has a… unique social structure."
"Unique?" I asked, intrigued.
"Think of it as a modern-day roller rink," he said, a knowing smile spreading across his face. "Different cliques, different personalities, all navigating the same space. There are the athletes, the artists, the tech whizzes, even a group of… let's call them 'social influencers.'"
My eyes widened. A roller rink school? This was going to be interesting. I pictured my siblings, Leo with his quirky sense of humor, and Maya with her artistic flair, navigating the halls of Aethelgard Academy. It was going to be a wild ride.
The thought of navigating the social dynamics of a new school, especially one with distinct cliques, filled me with a strange sense of excitement. It was like a real-life social experiment, a chance to observe and understand the different tribes that made up the teenage world.
And then there was the roller rink. Maybe we could start a skating club, a place where everyone could let loose and be themselves, regardless of their clique. It could be our sanctuary, our escape from the polished perfection of Eldoria.
I couldn't wait for my siblings to arrive. Eldoria was about to get a whole lot more interesting, a whole lot more real. And maybe, just maybe, we could turn this gilded cage into a place we could actually call home. With my siblings, and hopefully, a bit of roller rink magic, anything was possible. I felt a surge of energy fill me. I was ready to take on Eldoria and its roller rink school.
