Megan's eyebrows moved; she totally forgot about the wedding. She didn't bother to ask Damien if he was able to get the gift. She wonders if he even got something.
“Did you get anything?”
Damien smiled as he walked closer to Megan.
“Yes, I did. I know you have been busy, so I didn't want to stress you.”
She was surprised Damien actually got something; she thought he was trying to save his face.
“And what gift could that be?”
She already planned to buy with her own money; she knows Damien can't afford something expensive, but she will love to see what he got.
“It's a necklace; I bought it from Everything Luxury.”
Megan's eyes widen; she wonders why Damien is lying about going to everything luxury; there is no way he can afford anything there.
