Darcy looked blankly at Denvick before she burst out laughing.
"Of course you like me. At first, you were attracted to the pretty secretary who came with Kyle and you wanted to sleep with her. Then, you found out that she's actually Scarlett Kingston. Of course, you want to marry the daughter of Ethan Kingston now!" Darcy said.
After she said her piece, she did not want to hear anything more from Denvick. She walked away from the restaurant, slowly but steadily.
Denvick fell back onto his chair defeated. He said that he likes Darcy Kendall, not Scarlett Kingston. Did she really not get what he means?
