Bond By A Curse

GETTING A JOB.

When Lavender opened his eyes, it was already evening. 

"(Yawn~) ... I guess I overslept. Obviously I walked for half an hour, I am dead tired"

That's when he saw Sarina coming towards the building.

"Oh, Sarina. I should go now" saying that he ran towards her. Sarina was opening her door when she heard the sound of footsteps behind her, she turned around to look.

A beautiful girl, with long black hair,pale skin,and jade green eyes. She wore a light blue flare skirt and a white off shoulder top. She looked like she was in her early 20's, basically Lavender just had to change his hair color, and costume. Just a simple touch of makeup was enough to turn him into a girl.... And also a little bit of boobs, for which he definitely used magic.

"Yes?" Sarina looked at her with a smile.

"Uh.. the notice board... You are Sarina right? I am looking for a place to stay" Lavender said. He already had a soft voice, he just had to lightly adjust his voice to imitate a woman's voice.

Sarina smiled at her (him) but soon there was a change in her expression.

"How do you know that I am Sarina? I mean how do you even know my name?" She asked, as she lightly backed-up a bit.

Lavender laughed like a shy noble girl 'damn..! You cannot do one thing right Lavender. It has not been an hour and you are already blowing up your cover.'

"Well, uh.." after pondering for a second she noticed that Sarina was still in her hotel uniform and had a badge on her uniform 

"Uh.. obviously from your badge, I can see the name" Lavender chuckled 

'That was close..phew~'

Sarina laughed feeling embarrassed

"Sorry,my mistake.. uh please come in" she opened the door and entered inside the room.

"Please have a seat, I will get you some water" 

Lavender followed her orders as he observed her

'Well not bad looking.. she is definitely beautiful according to human standards. Big eyes with long eyelashes, a bit tanned skin, long brown locks... Not beautiful enough to be compared to me but still. That b*stard is lucky, I mean that childhood friend is lucky'

"So you are a working woman?" Sarina asked offering her some water.

Lavender snapped out of his thoughts and replied "oh.. uh.. actually.."

'Wait... What do I say? That I am a broke a*s, and I will have to work my a*s off to pay your rent?'

"Actually I just completed my graduation and I am from a small town. I was not able to get a job there..." Lavender put on a sad expression on his face

"But my family condition is not good,so I had to find a job somehow. That's why I came here,to the city were I can find a job"

Sarina felt bad as she heard her "oh, don't worry its ok if you don't have a job. I will find something for you, but what's your name?"

Lavender thought for a while 

'Hmm.. do I makeup a new name? Or should I go with my old short name? .. short name I guess.'

"My name is Luv" she said giving her(his) best smile.

"Oh~ wow, cool name you got there" she laughed. "So you don't have any relatives here? Like you came here with out any preparation I guess"

'Oh.. smart. Trying to interrogate me'

"Its.. a long story, I had a relative here.. but she,sigh~"

Lavender acted like a drama queen "she told me that i can come here to stay as long as I want, and asked me to come to live with her. But when I went there and started living there, she behaved differently. She used to make me work every time and many of the time I missed some of my interviews. One day when I came back from an interview, there was no one in the house,when I searched for her I came to know that she stole my money and left from there"

Lavender made an 'about to cry' face

"Now all I have is my clothes and some fake.. I mean my certificates"

Sarina felt sorry as she saw her crying 

"I am sorry my dear, I didn't want to make you sad. Please don't cry" she pacified her.

"You are really very nice, otherwise people here are really very objective"

Sarina smiled "don't worry,I will help you to get a job and meanwhile you stay here with me. So welcome my new roommate" she said as she offered her hand for a little handshake.

Lavender looked at her with sparkling eyes 

"Really?! Thank you so much mam"

She(he) shaked hands with her.

"Oh please don't call me mam, you can just call me Sarina"

"Ok, thank you so much"

'Elegant, and kind. Really very nice'

"And about job.. there is an interview going on in my hotel. Would you like to give it a try?"

'Awesomeeeeee!!! Now I can observe you as close as possible' 

"Oh.. I guess that will be tough, but I will definitely give it a try" Lavender said as she gave her a determined smile.

And the rest of the day, they spent time to settle down and to know each other.

Lavender definitely passed the interview, with his talent and... some fake certificates.

"Oh my god you made it Luv" Sarina said as she jumped happily. 

Luv(Lavender) laughed happily 

"Yes.. this is so awesome"

Sarina had a holiday today and Lavender was supposed to join from next week.

They both decided that they should go for shopping. Even though Lavender opposed that he doesn't have money, Sarina offered him to pay

"Oh come on,you can pay me back when you get your salary" she said as she pulled Lavender to the street market.

They roamed here and there, choosing clothes and shoes. Even though they just met yesterday they became close very quickly. Sarina lives alone, and doesn't have many friends with same habits or culture. But Lavender had left her a good impression, they both have almost same vibes.

"I swear, you are so awesome" Lavender said in a bit high pitched tone. To which Sarina chuckled

"You are flattering me Luv, by the way who named you 'Luv'? Its quite unique" she asked as she checked for everything in her bag.

Lavender laughed inside his mind.

'Mam, in our world most of our names are derived from nature. It goes same for me, my name is derived from the flower 'Lavender' so now that I have came here and I have a different identity, I just used the short form of my name'

"Hehe.. my mom named me, I really don't like this name. Its weird, don't you think so?" Lavender said in a high pitched tone.

"No, not at all. Its so lovely and unique, unlike my name. Its so common, in my hotel itself if you call one Sarina three other Sarinas will come out" she said as she laughed.

"Haha.. but it's better like this you know, like a guy can pick up on you. But look at me what will he say? Luv you? My Luv? Luvly?"

"Pfff hahaha..... You are so childish, and if he truly loves you 'Luv' *chuckle* there is no need of such cheesy lines"

"Oh~ it seems like you are experienced in this field" she(he) said Wriggling her(his) eyebrows.

Sarina was taken aback for a moment and one could see the red shade of blush appearing on her cheeks.

'Yes! It means she has feelings for her childhood friend.. wait.. what if she is feeling for other guy?'

"Oh.. someone is blushing" he(she) teased her some more.

"Oh shut up, let's go home. Its already 7 and I am tired as well, are you a good cook?" Sarina said as she covered her cheeks and tried to hide her shy smile.

Lavender chuckled "yes I am"

'Everything about me is magical my miss. You will eventually fall for my magic and will surrender to me soon'

They reached their house and got inside, after freshening up Lavender went to cook in the kitchen. Meanwhile Sarina was cleaning the rooms, after finishing with the cleaning work they both sat on the dinning table.

"Mm... This is delicious" Sarina praised her cooking skills. "Luv... I love this *chuckle* this tastes so delicious"

Lavender gave her a gentle smile "oh this is nothing at all"

And after that they arranged their clothes which they bought from the market, and then went to bed.

There was two beds in the bedroom, which Sarina joined together when she came here first. But Lavender decided to keep a distance between them.

"Why? You have sleeping habits?" Sarina asked as she saw Lavender pulling the bed.

"Yes, and I don't want to disturb you" he(she) said politely. 

Sarina smiled

"I see, you better improve your behaviour. Otherwise how will you sleep with your husband in future?" Sarina asked with a naughty expression on her face.

Lavender acted shy as soon as she (he) heard her.

'No mam, I don't have any sleeping habits. Its just that if our head see's that I am sleeping close to you he will blame me and frame me as a pervert... And when it comes to my duties, I am a very responsible guy'

'And besides that, if I have to go somewhere in night.. it will be a risk to sleep so closely with you'

They chit chatted for a while and went to sleep. Sarina was tired and fell asleep as soon as she hit the bed.

"Sigh~ I better do this quickly, because I am already tired. I will have to ask her about the nerd, I wish there was someone else to help me"

And soon Lavender also fell asleep.

Hey guys as you can see I have put some brackets mentioning he/she. That's because Lavender is a man now changed into a woman for his mission, so you may get confused. I did that to clear the confusion , but only for this chapter.
