As said by Lander and Amon they all decided to stay here on the earth for a while. It was pretty dangerous as they had to make sure that nobody from their family knew about this.
They had to lie to them saying that they are going for a troop training. They wanted to explore the other dark kingdoms and that's why they won't return for at least a week.
