All three were holding their mystery boxes from before, obviously planning to use them for water.
She closed her door, her face full of contempt.
Glasses was one thing, but how dare those other two have the nerve to ask for water?
Meanwhile, Eric hadn't opened his door, speaking through it: "Sorry, I'm only willing to share water with the one wearing glasses. As for you other two, have you forgotten about bullying my teammate yesterday?"
"How were we supposed to know you were teammates?! You weren't wearing labels! And who bullied who anyway?!"
Mustache grew agitated hearing this: "She not only killed that guy with one strike, she f*****g stabbed me too! If it weren't for the rules, Baldy and I would definitely be dead yesterday! And now you're saying we bullied her? You..."
He was very emotional and seemed about to curse, but remembered they were here to beg for help and quickly shut his mouth.
Baldy hurriedly adopted a submissive tone: "Yeah, we really weren't bullying her, and she wasn't hurt anyway... Mr. Eric, please, you're our only hope now. You're such a kind person, you wouldn't let us die of thirst, would you?"
Glasses said: "Mr. Eric, I still have half a bread left. If you're willing to share water with me, I'll trade you the bread. Please."
But Eric still refused to open the door: "I'll only open the door to share water with you after they leave. If you all stay together, I can only say I'm sorry."
As soon as he finished speaking, Mustache's attitude instantly changed. He violently kicked the door: "f**k! How can you be so cold-blooded and selfish?! Don't think you can walk all over me just because I need something from you! Won't give us any? Open the door if you dare, I'll kill you today!"
While cursing, he kept ramming the door like a mad bull.
Seeing this, Baldy thought they were done for - if Eric would still give them water after this, he'd truly be a living Buddha!
Since they hadn't had much hope anyway... he gritted his teeth and joined Mustache in ramming the door.
The door thundered under their assault, but its quality was far better than the bathroom door, showing no signs of giving way.
Glasses had retreated to the wall, shrinking his neck and neither helping nor trying to stop them.
How to put it... perhaps he was being the smartest, not offending either side. No matter who won, he'd get water.
As for those two, the reason they still dared to provoke Eric after being beaten yesterday was probably because they saw him as a nice person who wouldn't easily kill, so they thought they had a chance to overpower him together?
Olivia opened her door and stood there watching with interest, turning her knife over in her hands. After a moment, her lips curled into a malicious smile.
[Bullet comments]: You can tell she's about to cause trouble again.
[Bullet comments]: I know that expression - just saw it when she threw the cockroach...
Eric frowned, watching the door shake under the impacts while enduring their vulgar insults, finally growing impatient.
He grabbed the door handle, waiting for their next charge - planning to pull it open then, which would make them fall.
But just then, he heard a clear shout from outside.
"Hey, are all three of you stupid or what?"
Olivia leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed over her chest, looking completely at ease.
Glasses turned to see her, his eyelid twitching involuntarily.
Mustache narrowed his eyes, grinding out through clenched teeth: "You dare to open your door? Today I'm definitely going to kill you!"
He charged at her, but Olivia didn't dodge, unhurriedly saying: "If you just want something to drink, there's plenty around. Why make such an ugly scene?"
Mustache paused mid-step, his expression changing several times as he stared at her: "What trick are you trying to pull now?"
Olivia blinked, her face full of innocence: "Water isn't the only thing you can drink - human blood works in a pinch too."
[Bullet comments]: Damn, that's chilling! Would any normal person think of that?
[Bullet comments]: How can she say something like that with such a pure and cute expression...
[Bullet comments]: I'm gonna be sick, how about you guys?
"What... what do you mean?" Mustache was clearly shocked, starting to stammer.
Olivia smiled, her curved eyes gleaming with an strange light: "Though, friendly reminder - blood stops flowing pretty quick after death, so the corpse downstairs won't work. You'll have to wait for the next person to die, then quickly catch their blood in something - those mystery boxes you're holding would make perfect containers."
Eric heard this and his eye twitched, immediately wanting to open the door to stop her.
But then he realized those two were already near madness, and since he couldn't give them water anyway, how could he stop what they might do?
"Hey, aren't you going to hide?" Olivia glanced at Glasses.
He was still stunned by what she'd just said, standing frozen in place.
Only when he heard her warning did he react, quickly turning to run to his room!
His room was directly opposite Eric's - he pulled out his key and opened the door in one smooth motion, slammed it shut, and fell silent inside.
In the hallway, only the two desperate for water remained.
Olivia tilted her head watching them, declaring with great interest: "I bet on the guy with the creepy mustache winning. Eric honey, who do you bet on?"
Eric's mouth twitched, really wanting to go out and teach her not to do such malicious things.
But the hand on his doorknob finally dropped.
He understood that from the moment she stepped in, she was helping him solve this problem.
"I f*****g bet on your death!" Mustache roared, suddenly lunging at Olivia.
Unfortunately, after more than two days without water, he was already weak and exhausted, even worse than yesterday.
His movements were full of openings to her eyes - she casually raised her foot and easily kicked him in the chest, sending him to the ground.
Olivia clicked her tongue, then said: "I change my mind, now I bet on baldy winning."
Baldy's eyes flickered, going through who knows what internal struggle, before finally letting out an "AHHH!" and pulling out his mirror shard to attack Mustache!
Olivia retreated inside her door to watch, wearing a face full of enthusiastic smiles.
[Bullet comments]: They're all really insane... I can't take this anymore.
[Bullet comments]: This is why viewers of public trials need to pass tests first. If this was broadcast to everyone, lots of people would probably be traumatized.
Baldy attacked while Mustache was down, taking full advantage.
Although Mustache was naturally more vicious, he couldn't turn the tables.
After they'd stabbed each other several times, Baldy found his chance and drove the mirror shard into the other's eye.
The scene instantly became horrifically b****y.
The audience seemed to feel that terrible pain even through their screens, and even the bullet comments fell silent.
But it wasn't over yet.
While Mustache was still convulsing, not yet dead, Baldy couldn't wait - he dropped to the ground and started l*****g up the blood!
That slurping sound, like someone enjoying a delicious meal, was enough to make anyone sick just hearing it.
A moment later, he raised his face covered in crimson blood, hurriedly grabbed his mystery box, and used the mirror shard to cut Mustache's wrist - to drain his blood.
Olivia turned back into her room, expressionlessly closing the door.
This was true human nature, wasn't it?
Only in places free from moral and legal constraints would humanity's true nature be fully exposed.
[Bullet comments]: I won't be eating today...
[Bullet comments]: I just looked at my tomato juice
[Bullet comments]: This woman is so evil, her hands aren't stained with blood but people die because of her
Olivia slowly walked to her bed and sat down, unscrewed her mineral water and took a sip, her lips slowly curling upward.
These people hiding behind screens, pointing fingers at those struggling on the edge of death - that was another kind of human nature being exposed.
The sounds outside gradually stopped. Since the two had fought close to her side, it wasn't long before Olivia saw some blood seeping under her door into her room.
She went to open the door and stared at the corpse missing an eye for a while, then crouched down, dipped her finger in the blood, and drew two tear tracks and a smiling mouth on his face.
When Eric came out of his room, he saw her crouching beside the corpse.
With her shoulder-length short hair and petite frame, she looked like an innocent young girl.
But fresh blood had formed a small river across the floor, and her shadow reflected in it had turned blood red.
That scene... was absolutely eerie.
