CHAPTER TWO

Suddenly our watches and started to reset themselves. It was 7:00 in the morning. None of us knew which time zone we were in. our car was know out of gas. We started to walk in the unknown world. At that time no one had even altered a word. On the way we saw that welcomed us to the place. It was called "A QUIET PLACE" And true to its name it was so quite and not even a bird was had in the air.
Not so far into the land , we met a family which seemed terrified. When we were about to talk to them they held our mouths tight that no sound would come out. Then they wrote on a piece of paper.
"If one of you dares to alter a word out of their mouths , you should count all of us dead. some birds will come from out of know here and eat us alive. Not even a bone will be left to prove that we were here."
We did not understand what they meant by that. Suddenly, a bird appeared chirping and out of know where very huge bags appeared and feasted on it. Not even a feather remained and that is when we understood that land was a place of total silence.
We and the other family decided to help each other. The other family had name tags one their bags. The father was called John, the mother Loise and had two children Charles and Ivy. The mother was pregnant with another baby.
So we decided to look for a place to settle . As we were walking down the road we spotted a town center about 9km away. Loise was so tiered and dehydrated so we had to stop in intervals in order for her to get a rest and be hydrated. We reach the town center at around 10:00pm. something about that town was familiar. It resembled the town we lived in the real world. It was a small town and everybody knew everybody who lived in it. The homes were inhabited by the same people as the real world but this time they all wore the same clothes. Red overalls and had masks on. So we went in such of the house that resembles ours.
