Epilogue Deloris organised a dress rehearsal for reviewers and, thanks to their reviews, the first night was a full house. George limped into the hall on opening night. He stood at the back and along with Catrina watched the audience laugh in all the right places, shout for more, and give a standing ovation. Poosie Nancy and speaking garden furniture was a total hit. George had a lot to be grateful for; so had Catrina. A caravan park worth marching about in and someone to march, argue, and make up with. And it was all thanks to Charlie’s panto. After the panto, Charlie walked home inspired; he was full of ideas for bigger and funnier pantos and Deloris was eager to listen.
