The Chase Scene
Not all attention is wanted.
During the first act rehearsals, Lesley and Agnus were not onstage together, but that did not stop them watching each other and making notes. Each wanted to be the best, most comical, and they embraced their roles with a grim determination that at times smacked of desperation.
Lesley joined the gym, building up her muscles for a more masculine-looking Poosie Nancy. While Agnus, getting into the swing of her fairy godmother part, began to practise whispery voices, working on her scatterbrain characterisation.
