The Truth

1406 Words

Tresa sat in her room. She replayed the day and evening events in her mind. Tresa had a lovely day in town, but the highway men's situation had scared her, but she was more shocked over Edmond's secret that she had found out about. Tresa thought about what Edmond had told her about his curse. He was cursed by a distraught woman who had lost her husband in the war. She could understand the woman, although to curse someone who was doing as they were told seemed extreme to Tresa, but she had not dealt with loss such as that woman did. Tresa finally thought about the conclusion of their conversation in the study. Edmond had pulled her close to kiss her. She was not completely naive to know that what she had been doing was wrong, but on the other hand, it had felt so right to be in his arms.
