A Trip To Town

Tresa's face lit up as they drew nearer to the small nearby town. They finally arrived at midday. Edmond had mentioned food first and then they would stop at the local dress maker's shop. Tresa only nodded in response and she looked around her. The small shops and the people and conversations. It had been sometime since she had been around so many people at one time. Tresa suddenly began to be very conscious of the fact that she was an unmarried woman traveling with a man who was not her intended. Tresa received a few questioning looks from the people of the town. Edmond glanced over his shoulder and saw that Tresa began to shrink in on herself. Here he was the one who hated going to the village, but she was the one shying away from everyone. Edmond came to stop at the cafe in the town.
