Present. Present.Present.Unannounced, I entered the dark café. It was silent, except for the cooks in the back. They were arguing, which I could hear. However, the pots clanging and banging made it even more difficult. As a thump echoed from the back, I pictured one of them hitting the other across the head with a pot. It hadn’t been difficult to learn Spanish. Sometimes, I still pretended to be a complete moron with the ladies on occasion.
