“What setback?” She wrinkled her pretty brows at me. After feeling her gun’s steel end on my chest, I completely released her. “It didn’t go as planned.” Her brow furrowed. “It’s a tiny setback,” I said. “Very tiny... it’ll be okay, I promise.” She focused her eyes suspiciously. “Smooches, sweetie, I’m trying.
