Chapter 4: A Tough Revelation!

1077 Words
Elsa was panting angrily as she paced through the quiet walls of the Dome. The anger that built up in her system was enough to wreck anyone. She couldn't understand why it seemed like her father always took the side of her stepmother, without even considering her. Why was it so hard for him to be on her side, just for once than having to be all over Luna Devine and her sons? Soon, the chamber doors opened as the Alpha walked in with the Luna and her sons. They were all laughing about something until they saw her. "Oh there! The first!", Dayon, the other twin nudged his twin brother and they giggled in mockery. Luna Devine gave a mischievous smile but tried to hide it from the Alpha. Quickly, she wiped the smug smile off her face and replaced it with a fake concern. "Oh dear! Poor thing! Can you boys stop making fun of your sister?", she chided her twin sons. Elsa knew the game she was playing and it enraged her. She was never close to the mischievous twins because they were the most annoying. Although she was twenty-five years old and the twins were twenty-three, they never agreed on the same thing. "Sorry", one of the twins echoed, before they both rushed off leaving them. Immediately they were gone, Elsa turned to the Luna as her chest was heaving in anger. "Is this about what happened earlier in the kitchen? Are you trying to get back at me, Luna?", she fired angrily. "Elsa!", the Alpha interrupted in a deep voice. "What are you talking about, dear child?", Luna Devine asked in a kinder tone. "No tell me! Will you stop acting all nice whenever my Father is around? Cut off with the fake love?", Elsa demanded, ignoring her father's reprimand. "Quiet! You will not speak to her in that manner", Alpha Zed roared, silencing his only daughter. "You see what I say everyday, honey. She needs to undergo the rituals sooner because it's making her snap more", Luna whispered to her husband. Elsa heard it clearly and she wanted to say something but her Father, raised his hand, stopping her from speaking. "I'll excuse the both of you for now. I need to handle some issues in the courtroom", Luna Devine said aloud. Then she turned gently to Elsa and tapped her on her shoulders, "Be good darling ", she said. "Father, you need to see through her. You know, right?", Elsa complained bitterly, as soon as the Luna exited the room. "Elsa...! You need to stop!", her father breathed out softly. He didn't like when Elsa acted that way, because he loved her, though he was hard on her most times. There was not a day that he didn't think of his late Luna and inwardly hoped that he would keep their daughter safe and protected. But every single day, that proved hard because Elsa and his Luna, didn't like each other no matter how much he tried. "Father please... you have to listen to me. Luna Devine is trying to get me out of the way", she continued. "Elsa just stop! Alpha Zed roared. "Can you just stop throwing tantrums all over the place? It's becoming so toxic and I wonder why you can't see that", Alpha Zed stated. "But..", Elsa tried to speak. "No you will not say anything else. Can't you see that we're trying to help you? All I wanted to know is know how you're faring with these nightmares", Alpha Zed said. "I'm doing just fine, Alpha. I am...", Elsa muttered softly, avoiding his gaze. "No you're not! In case you haven't noticed, you look like a shadow of yourself and I can see right through you", her father claimed. "Apart from being your Alpha, I am your father", he sounded. Elsa gasped softly and looked up at her father, ready to tell him that the dreams were draining her truly as he claimed. But she knew how bad that would turn out for her. Her father would settle for her stepmother's suggestion. "Father, these dreams mean something. I'll need to understand fully, so I can rule just like you have ", Elsa revealed. When Elsa said that, she didn't expect the reaction that came from her father. The Alpha snickered. "Father! Is everything okay? Say something to me, please! Why aren't you saying anything?", Elsa asked all at once because of her father's silence. "Rule? What does that even mean, Elsa! I'm still Alpha and even if I wasn't, you wouldn't take the crown!", he revealed in an outburst. Elsa felt numb at the revelation. Her eyes shut in fear and shock and the room turned, causing her to go dizzy. Her brain was trying to process the words she just heard from the Alpha. She muttered some incoherent words and slowly opened her eyes, hoping that it was all a dream. Unfortunately, it wasn't! Standing before her, was her Father, the Alpha. "I...I.. don't understand, Alpha! I don't pray to lose you now but 'm your first blood and in the line of Alphas, it's only right that I rule next. Don't you want to see me succeed?", Elsa cried. "Right under whose law? Maybe, if you were the only child, you may have stood a chance but now when you have twin brothers ", her father revealed to her shock. "What? Elsa gasped in shock, as she clutched her chest. "You're a woman, Elsa! I'm certain in the hierarchy of Werewolves and decree of the old, you will have a more privileged seat...", Alpha Zed tried to explain. "Than being Alpha? Father, it's a prophecy that I was your next", Elsa interjected. "And that prophecy came before we were blessed with twin boys, Elsa. The kingdom needs a strong guide and Alpha ", he retorted. "You think I'm not strong enough? You don't think it's my right?", she asked in tears. "I believe in your daughter but not with the current state of things in the kingdom ", he replied calmly. Suddenly, the dreams that Elsa had been haunted for eight months, now made so much sense to her. The tall huge man in her dreams had always said that she was never going to take the crown and now it made so much sense to her. "He..said it! He always said it", she gasped in realization, as tears rolled down her face.
