BOB SENSABAUGH GRIPPED Reverend Dan’s hand and pumped it forcefully. “Excellent sermon. ‘Honor your father and mother.’ How timely that came up on your Ten Commandments list today.”
“Perhaps more timely than you know.” Dan held the offered hand firmly, not letting go when Bob was clearly ready to move along. “Would you mind staying for just a few minutes? There’s something I’d like to discuss with you…in private.”
Bob’s brow knitted into a questioning wrinkle but he nodded his assent. “Sure. I’ll just wait outside.” He continued out the door where Kitty and the children waited in the churchyard.
