CHAPTER 10Abby didn't even try to explain how she had ended up on the floor with Jasper's head in her lap. She looked at Cory until he disappeared out into the front desk area. His ears looked so red that she thought he might light up the whole store. She picked up the issue of Sandman number one and looked down at Jasper. She almost reached up and stroked his hair but clenched her fingers instead.
"Now that you're my prisoner, it's time that you lose your Neil Gaiman virginity." She chuckled. "That's so you stay paralyzed and at my mercy."
Jasper made a noise, but he couldn't get away, so she ignored him.
She held the comic up so he could see. "You can probably read it, but I'll read the text aloud. We open on June 6th, 1916."
Then Abby turned the page, and everything else was gone. S
