CHAPTER 14Across the table of the Noon Tide restaurant Jasper Lee looked particularly satisfied with himself. He leaned forward on the table. "So you told them that we were married? Why'd you do that?"
Abby polished off the rest of the pie. "Because I was doing you a favor. I didn't think they would leave you alone if I just told them that it was a business lunch."
"Well then, thank you. Sorry, I fell asleep."
